Sculptural Florals.

A few frames that stopped us in a heartbeat, created by wedding by flower favorites Prunella. Captured by Beck Rocchi in The George Ballroom we love the wild romance and rambling beauty of each sculptural arrangement, where blooms in fuchsia and magenta entwine around vines as they climb up arbors and cascade to the floor.

Prunella’s top tip for wedding florals? Curation. "While Pinterest and Instagram are fantastic tools for generating ideas and becoming inspired, don’t try and cram every concept you like into your day.  Edit your ideas and let your chosen team make suggestions on how you can create the most individual, cohesive, stylish affair possible."

Botanic Event Spaces & Masterclasses.

Searching for chic interpretations of bachelorette parties and bridal showers reimagined, we were excited to hear of Prunella’s foray into private events. Already one of our favorite names in floristry, Prunella has opened their studio for boutique events and masterclasses, creating bespoke styling and rambling arrangements to pair with seasonal menus and matching wines.

Coming up, an afternoon of flowers and food in collaboration with chef Damien Sandercock (of Piper St. Food Co.). Create wild installations and dramatic tablescapes while dining on seasonal menus artfully plated, an intimate affair inspired by dark aesthetics and moody hues…

Authentic Spaces

Endlessly searching for those hard to find venues, those spaces with a soul and a story all of their own (and that most importantly don't resemble a generic function centre!), Churchill, set in Victorias countryside, is one of our favourite discoveries. Run by the talented crew behind Prunella, this converted church complete with stained glass windows and lofty ceilings, has the sort of authentically aged patina that rustic venue dreams are made of! Pair with the wildly foraged botanical styling of Prunella for an authentic, unexpectedly beautiful setting.

Lavishly Botanical: Prunella

Every now and again we come across a brand so creative and forward thinking in their work that we’re magically transported to a world of enchanted otherworldly beauty. Their wildly creative displays leave us completely captivated! This is how we felt when we discovered the work of Victoria-based florists and botanical stylists Prunella - just handpicked for The LANE Directory.

With a botanical feel to their flower arrangements and a lavish aesthetic of abundance in beauty that evokes the sentiment that one can never have enough flowers, Prunella are definitely one of our all time favourite florists! Grand, cinematic, unexpected, bold, artistic and not the type of creations you would ever think of doing yourself,  this brand is for the dreamer, the bride who wants the most beautiful display of colour and flowers at her wedding.

Prunella is also behind one of our favourite wedding spaces in country Victoria, The Churchill - the most amazing 1858 Methodist church that has been converted into an incredible wedding venue. Think high timber ceilings, glorious gothic stained-glass windows and a whitewashed wooden hall!

Although based in Melbourne Australia, Prunella knows no geographic bounds and their unique aesthetic means they are sought after for weddings and events around the world. Find out more about their services here.
