Because of the size of our country, we can eat strawberries all year round. But local strawberries, Queensland's Ruby Gems and Camarosa varieties, are available during winter and early spring because of our mild, sunny days. These sweet beauties were picked on Friday, about an hour from where I live, and are destined for today's wedding cake.
