About Natalie Marie Jewellery

Founded by Natalie Fitch in 2012, Natalie Marie Jewellery was conceived as a conduit for connection; a way to mindfully render our community’s personal love stories into made-to-order, wearable expressions of affection. At the core of what we do is a dedication to traditional, superior craftsmanship, sustainability and high-quality materials, and our own unique design aesthetic: minimal styling with traditional detailing and embellishments.

Our Ceremonial range is the beating heart of our conscious brand curation – spanning engagement rings, wedding bands and universal styles – and celebrates love and its ever-changing forms, shades and subtleties. Exclusively for The Lane customers, enjoy 15% off our Ceremonial range when you sign up to our newsletter.

Behind The Brand

What was the spark for beginning Natalie Marie?

After completing my visual art studies in 2010, I set up my jewellery studio at home and began taking individual commissions for friends and family. The spark alighted when I came to realise how much power and value there was in storytelling through wearable objects. In developing my own skills and connection to process, I was able to begin creating tangible expressions of sentiment, which innately went on to become treasured talismans. The essence of our brand is rooted here, in a commitment to creating pieces of meaning.

How would you describe your aesthetic?

Our aesthetic is dynamic and ever evolving, but at its core I would describe it as fluid and creatively inspired, with a refined outlook. Ten years of designing and crafting has resulted in an organic evolution of our signature style. We stand at a juncture of traditional craftsmanship and modern sensibilities. Embracing tradition in an adaptive, responsive fashion. Age old techniques are utilised in unconventional practise, to create our unique fusion of bold form and fine detail.

What inspires you creatively?

I am inspired by life and love and human stories of hardship and hope. One of the greatest privileges of what we do is being invited into peoples’ stories at pivotal times in their lives. The commitment to marking these moments, and the investment of care into this process is really at the core of what we do, and is my truest inspiration.

What advice can you give to couples when shopping for their engagement ring?

Choosing or designing an engagement ring is a precious and important rite of passage for a couple. My advice would be – take the time to enjoy the process, whether you do it together or it’s a secret project.  Connect with someone who can answer your questions, bring life to your ideas and guide your creative process; all the while infusing their experience and knowledge into the conversation. This is why I love our bespoke process so much; clients are paired with their own bespoke designer who works with them from start to finish, enabling them to connect deeply to the process and it’s many nuanced stages.

What are you drawn to in wedding jewelry right now? What would you like to see less of in your industry?

In recent years, I have seen a growing client driven push for more connection to the pieces they are investing in – to the process, the materials and the meaning. This is such a wonderful opportunity to educate and excite our community and deepen their understanding of the jewellery industry as a whole, their part in the picture, and how we as a brand navigate the unique landscape of creating handmade pieces. Consumer curiosity is also driving broader progress within the jewellery industry in terms of responsibility, sustainability and transparency, which is amazing to witness and play a part in. This, paired with a breakaway from traditional ceremonial jewellery makes the jewellery industry an exciting landscape to work within. I would love to see more jewellery brands collaborating on industry progression, as in unity we can motivate upstream suppliers to strive for improvement, driving our whole industry towards a bright future.
