After being an avid documenter of the beauty in everyday life through whatever camera I could get my hands on, I fell in love with the art of photography. I love stories. And I’m intrinsically drawn to the moments that reveal; the most beautiful love stories ever, weddings. On the day I shoot a photojournalist style so capture the real moments as they happen in an unobtrusive and organic way. During portraits, I usually give couples a bit of guidance, where to stand, where to put hands etc. I encourage couples to make the day their own, be themselves and have some fun, that way their photos are special and unique.

This Day Forward
After his first wedding was published in Vogue, Will Hartl found his passion in capturing the love and connection between people. His approach to shooting weddings is to treat people how you’d want to be treated. He treats his couples like old friends and their families like his own. He takes a step back and allows them to have an amazing time with their friends and family. He’s a fly on the wall, a guest with a camera, and a friend in the background creating a story of their wedding day.
