Marchesa Bridal Spring 2017
Marchesa Bridal Spring 2017

In three words…Daring. Botanical. Regal.

Mood & Muse…A nostalgic elegance merged with a floral infused, lightness of touch.

Highlights… Our three favourite gowns each re-imagined classic silhouettes through an inimitable Marchesa lens. The first juxtaposed a deeply plunging scalloped neckline with dramatic winged sleeves, a striking silhouette cut from three dimensional floral embellished lace (pictured second in gallery).

The second, a magnificent long sleeved sheath decadently encrusted with unbelievable embroidery and beading, before dissolving into swathes of featherweight tulle at the hem, for an ethereal take on mermaid styling (pictured third in gallery).

Lastly, a romantic reimagining of off the shoulder, a fluted sleeve edged in delicate eyelash lace, framing a slender gown, discreetly dusted with miniature pearls (pictured first in gallery).

The collection…Blending signature Marchesa decadence with the dreamiest of silhouettes, a regal take on botanical opulence permeated Marchesa's Spring 2017 collection. At the demure end of the spectrum, princess cut gowns and sculpted lace peplums offered a dramatic take on classicism, while those seeking luxe incarnations of something unexpected, cascades of tulle cut flowers, fluttering sleeves and daring necklines will satisfy. Balancing seductive elements (sheer silk, cut away sections and illusion necklines) with more demure detailing, the collection felt beautifully balanced, yet full of surprises.

A palette of pure white, bone and blush, pale metallic embroidery, miniature pearls and marquise cut crystals further embellished an already visual feast of rich lace and delicate silk tulles. Accessory styling lent a bohemian edge with metallic crowns and chandelier earrings unexpectedly enhanced with freshly cut flowers.

Dewy, rose tinted faces were framed by chic centre parted hair, twin braids pulled into an interlocking low bun at the nape of necks. Classic Marchesa, demure yet unexpected.

We imagine our highlight pieces wandering throughout a floral infused celebration, paired with an ethereal veil or fresh blooms woven throughout textured hair. A Spring collection perfect for brides seeking exquisite luxury suffused with a strong femininity.
