Reminiscent of the dreamlike gardens of Versailles, lavish installations of blooms and illusory details diversified the Beverly Hills Hotel into a lush conservatory. Offset by the bride adorned in cascading layers of an Oscar De La Renta sculptural silk gown this celebration perfectly fused opulent dreamscapes with old Hollywood romance..
Meghan K Sadler captured each transcending moment through her lens.
NAMES: Taylor & Leeor Maciborski
WEDDING DATE: August 16, 2015
GUEST NUMBERS: 325
HOW WE MET: We met through a mutual friend. It was the rare occasion when a set up actually works. He had me at hello.
OUR ENGAGEMENT STORY: Leeor took me to our favorite bench in Central Park feed the ducks. There he sweetly told me “I’d like you to marry me.” He pulled out a box with my ring. He didn’t ask and I never said yes but he didn’t have to -- we both knew we had met our match. We can see our future in each other’s eyes.
MARRIAGE TO US MEANS: Our marriage is a partnership. Someone to share the wonderful times filled with magic and someone to share the not so wonderful times with too. It’s nice to have a person to grow with.
WEDDING LOCATION: The Beverly Hills Hotel. It’s a classic in Los Angeles. We spend a lot of time at the hotel. Now, it’s even more special to be there as we remember our wedding day every time we share chocolate chip pancakes in The Fountain Room.

THEME/STYLE: We love being outdoors and surrounded by nature. We tried to bring the outside in and transport our guests to a garden. The florals leading up to reception for our ceremony and cocktail felt as if they were straight out of Dutch still life paintings. The ballroom was transformed into a lush conservatory. We hoped our guests would feel as if they had been instantly transported. We wanted to make the larger space feel more intimate by creating little floral vignettes throughout the room.
PHOTOGRAPHY: Meghan Kay Sadler. It was important for my husband and I to find a photographer who truly understood the influence of an environment, especially personal space. Meghan helps tell the story of a space and how we experience it. She captures the often-overlooked detail - a glance between us that managed to say everything - and frames it perfectly. She has an easy elegance about her and that quality transcends through her photographs. My husband and I are quite private and rarely intimate in front of others so the thought of having someone try to capture our feelings in an authentic way seemed daunting. Meghan’s photos say everything.
WEDDING RINGS: Simple gold wedding bands and my perfect cushion cut engagement ring that my husband hunted for.
HAIR: I wanted my hair to feel natural, as if I had tossed it up but with a more elegant hand. My hair stylist, Clariss, nailed it.
MAKEUP: I wanted to feel and look like myself. I don’t wear much makeup. Jessica kept me looking natural but highlighted my face in a way that kept me looking fresh all day.
FLOWERS & BOUQUETS: The gardens of the Northern Italian lakes. We hold a special place in our hearts for Lake Como.
ENTERTAINMENT: We had a small group play a Django Reinhardt gypsy jazz style of music throughout cocktail mixed with some modern tracks in a similar style. For our ceremony, we had a small strings group play more modern tracks. After our first kiss as husband and wife we walked back down our aisle to a song called “The Winner is” by De Votchka from the film Little Miss Sunshine.
For our reception, we had a band and incorporated some special
vocalists that had voices similar to Nina Simone and Frank
A MEMORABLE MOMENT: At the end of the evening, our closest friends returned back to our wedding suite with us and we ordered burgers reliving moments from the day.
