WEDDING LOCATION: Our venue was Deux Belettes, located in the Byron Bay Hinterland, northern NSW.

THEME/STYLE: French fairytale

BUDGET: Our best tip is to decide on your budget and work back from there!

PHOTOGRAPHY: Our wedding photographer was Natalie McComas, she was fantastic!

BRIDE’S DRESS: My dress was an embellished / handbeaded gown by Jenny Packham

(Interview continues under gallery...)

BRIDE’S SHOES: I wore nude pumps by YSL

BRIDESMAIDS DRESSES: The bridesmaids wore simple white embroidered knee length dresses by Collette by Collette Dinnigan

WEDDING RING STYLES: Paul made both our wedding rings.

GROOMSMEN ATTIRE: Both the groom & groomsmen wore suits by Chronicles of Never

HAIR: Peter and Paulie from Goldielocks and the Two Boys, Brisbane

MAKEUP:  I kep to a natural look, by local makeup artist April Harvie

STATIONERY: We made our own stationery & invitations.

BOUQUET TYPES: Both bride & bridesmaid bouquets were a mixture of cream and mauve roses by Roz and Britte from Flowers on the Run. The bridemaids wore the same flowers in their hair, either as a garland or just a single bloom.

VIDEOGRAPHER: Kyle Montgomery

CEREMONY DÉCOR:The ceremony was held outdoors with the beautiful Deux Belettes archway as a backdrop. The ceremony décor, styled by Mandy Noye and Sharon Christian, featured bentwood chairs & rustic buckets of flowers lining the aisle. Guests were given paper cones made from vintage music sheets, filled with loose rose petals to use as confetti.

RECEPTION DÉCOR: The reception was held in a marqee at the venue. We hired the equipment and marquee from Byron Wedding and Party Hire. The multiple rows of fairy lights were provided Pip from Byron Audio and Lighting. Mismatched jars of flowers were displayed on each table & a rustic style dessert bar was provided for guests to enjoy.

CAKE: We had a single tier cake provided by Seaweed Cuisine

WEDDING SONGS: One of my best friends and bridesmaids, Francesca, is a violinist and she chose the music for me to walk down the aisle to. It was a surprise and she chose Breakfast at Tiffiany’s theme song.

FOOD & BEVERAGES CHOSEN: Our catering was provided by Seaweed Cuisine

TRANSPORT TYPE: A vintage-style Kombi from Luv Machine

CELEBRANT: Irena Kirpichnikova

SOURCES OF INSPIRATION: Our sources of inspiration included Kate Moss’ wedding and our trip to France where Paul proposed.

A MEMORABLE MOMENT: Sarah: Seeing Paul as I was walking down the aisle, it was such a special moment. Paul: Seeing Sarah come through the door, it was beautiful.

BEST ADVICE FOR PLANNING A WEDDING/TO BRIDES: Don’t sweat the small stuff, and enjoy it because it comes and goes so quickly!

Congratulations to Sarah & Paul from The LANE! And a huge thank you to Nat from Natalie McComas Photography for these beautiful images! You can view more of Natalie's amazing work on her website & blog.
