Giorgia & Alessandro's marriage was celebrated on a small Italian archipelago, under an elegant free-flowing veil archway. A place so naturally beautiful, the necessity for decoration was minimal, instead effortlessly infused with organic details of chic, rustic compositions of herbs & untamed garlands of robust colour.
Surrounded by nature and the aromatic scent of flowers in the air, This Villa Tacchi wedding, beautifully documented by Serena Cevenini, was of true Italian style, with guest's gifted Grappa on arrival, followed by a relaxed yet subtly sovereign barefoot reception, with wild white peacocks and lashings of rouge embellishments..
NAMES: Giorgia Sara Muller / Alessandro Arcolin
WEDDING DATE: 06/20/2015
GUEST NUMBERS: 96 adults, 30 children
HOW WE MET: We met in 2006, we were in Tunisia for work and we immediately fell in love!
OUR ENGAGEMENT STORY: After our second child was born we decided to get married.
MARRIAGE TO US MEANS: To us our wedding has been the cherry on top! A promise of unconditional love to us and to our children, no matter the challenges.
WEDDING LOCATION: The location is VILLA TACCHI, Quinto Vicentino, Italy. It was the first & only location we visited because we completely fell in love with it and we could see ourselves getting married in the beautiful park, surrounded by nature, gleaming water and smelling the scent of the flowers.
(Interview Continued under Gallery..)
THEME/STYLE : Our biggest desire was having a relaxed atmosphere, where everyone could feel at ease and be happy. We took inspiration from the shabby chic style.
PHOTOGRAPHY: We choose Serena Cevenini as our photographer. She did an amazing reportage of the day capturing all the emotions and the little details creating magic images.
BRIDE’S DRESS: Another love at first sight experience...the dress! I've fell in love with all the 2015 collection of Olvi's. The dress I choose was like a second skin of lace, soft and comfortable – I immediately felt beautiful wearing it.
BRIDE’S SHOES: I bought the sandals in a market, in Tunisia – they were perfect for the dress!
BRIDESMAIDS DRESSES: I asked them to wear a Geranium color dress, but I wanted them to be free in choosing the shape and brand.
WEDDING RINGS: Handmade by our jeweler in scratched gold bronze. A unique and vintage style.
JEWELLERY/ACCESSORIES: Our jeweler made an extra long wrap bracelet with pendants and precious stones, that I wore around my wrist. Then I had small foot rings.
GROOMSMEN ATTIRE: The groom chose a demi tait commissioned to our trusted tailor.
HAIR: I had a messy braid with flowers.
MAKEUP: I wanted a simple and natural make up with a particular focus on the lips, red and defined, to give a touch of color.
STATIONERY/INVITATIONS: We did simple invitations ourselves, in the graphic studio of our company – while the wedding planner took care of the stationery using the same graphic style.
FAVORS/BONBONNIERE: We printed a bag with a sign in Italian, the bag included an emergency kit: tissues make up remover, a flower crown for the ladies, a breath spray and some Grappa liquor.
FLOWERS & BOUQUETS: We were inspired by the shabby chic style with rustic compositions with herbs, there was not a predominant color. I loved the compositions and the garlands, different for each table, which aromatic plants that also gave the name to every table.
PREPARATION: I did the preparation with my two bridesmaids, the hairdresser and the make up artist both dear friends. We spent the time drinking wine and eating sandwiches – it was so much fun!
CEREMONY DÉCOR/ RECEPTION DÉCOR: The marriage was celebrated on a small peninsula on the lake, where we had set up an elegant arch, and there were chairs for the guests. The place was so impressive and beautiful already, that we decided not to decorate it too much.
WEDDING PLANNER/ WEDDING STYLIST: The key was our wedding planner, Martina Lucarda. We live abroad and we couldn’t manage to organize everything on our own. She helped us, understanding what we wanted and putting it into practice, recommending suppliers and following the style we have chosen.
CAKE: For the cake we chose something a bit special, a naked cake, without sugar paste, filled with a light Chantilly with red fruits.
WEDDING SONGS: For the ceremony and the aperitif we hired a string quartet who arranged our favorite songs, creating a great atmosphere! After dinner we had fun with a guitar / piano duo that animated and heated the atmosphere with live music.
ENTERTAINMENT: We had children's entertainers and jugglers – while the grown-ups had fun dancing!
FOOD & BEVERAGES: We didn't want something too heavy– we opted for a big buffet before the dinner and then two main courses, one second course and then a dessert buffet, plus the wedding cake.
TRANSPORT: By foot – everything was in the same location!
CELEBRANT: The celebrant was a dear childhood friend of Alessandro, he wrote beautiful words that made us all teary eyed. Having someone that knows our story and us so well, has been really important in our intimate ceremony.
A MEMORABLE MOMENT: Walking down the aisle with one of my daughters – and when – during the ceremony – the smallest one snuck between us and “stole” my bouquet.
ONE THING I WISH I KNEW BEFORE I STARTED MY WEDDING PLANS… IF I COULD GIVE OTHER BRIDES TO BE ONE PIECE OF ADVICE…I regret not investing in a videographer, also. It would have been beautiful listening to our vows once again.
