Unexpected Spaces - Natural Cathedrals

— Ceremony Trends

As stylists, often the more we see, the less we want. Wildly romanced by the idea of exchanging vows in a location so breathtakingly beautiful little or no decor is required at all, we’re instead inspired by the search for spectacular backdrops and surreal, naturally occurring aisles.

For those planning a destination wedding or elopement, look for unexpected ceremony locations and grand cathedrals formed from timeworn stone and sea caves. Keep styling to a minimum with transparent Ghost chairs to ensure the surreal setting and ceremonial ritual are your focal points, or forgo any styling at all (chances are with an isolated location, lugging ceremony chairs over secluded beaches or cliffs is the last thing you want to be worrying about!)

We’ve searched the globe for an edit of the most beautiful natural cathedrals:

Playa de las Catedrales, Galicia, Spain
Cathedral Cove, Coromandel Peninsula, New Zealand
Arch of Cabo San Lucas,Baja California Sur, Mexico
Delicate Arch, Arches National Park, Utah
Natural Bridges State Park, Santa Cruz, California
Benagil Sea Cave, Algarve, Portugal
Durdle Door, Jurassic Coast UK
