Create a lavish and romantic indoor wedding ceremony at a magnificent, history filled venue. An old Parisian ballroom with ornate high ceilings and warm afternoon light pouring through leadlight windows. Chic, but minimalistic styling touches. Opulent antique chandeliers, rows of bentwood chairs and dusty pink velvet antique couches.
If you are looking to recreate this look for an indoor ceremony (or reception), we recommend Melbourne's magnificent Mural Hall, located on the top floor of the iconic Myer city store.
The lavish European ballroom is one of the most romantic spaces we have come across. Complete with soaring ceilings, sweeping stairs, city views peeking through original leadlight windows, parquet flooring, 18th century style mirrored commodes, staff in black cocktail dresses & white Italian waiter jackets, and walls lined with brilliant murals of influential figures from the arts, opera, literature, dance and fashion.
We love the idea of having a wedding ceremony at this historic space, filled with lavish stories from the past, to create a mood of classic romance ( & the fact that you won't have to worry about the weather forecast!).
You can add your own styling, details and finishing touches to the space with sister company, The Design Depot, a treasure trove of full of unique decorative pieces sourced locally and internationally!
