Haunting Light

Haunting Light
Haunting Light

Shooting in a rich spectrum of indigos, silver and inky blues, a sky in transition to darkness, a day drawing to a close… we were completely transported by this hauntingly beautiful shoot evoking the shifting moods of water and light.

Striking a beautiful balance between an ethereal otherworldliness, yet grounded by raw textures and wild details, these striking images (shot at half light by Ottawa / LA based photographer Joel Bedford) offer stunning inspiration for a fine-art like approach to wedding portraits.

Shooting against a serene setting in a specific palette, immortalising the unique mood of the location and day, we're inspired by the eerily beautiful atmosphere evoked, drawn purely from the natural surroundings and shifting colour palette of that afternoon.

Mist and veil each mirroring one another in movement, delicate petals whose fragility is highlighted against just as delicate folds of fabric. A mood of fleeting, fading exquisiteness…dreamlike, haunting, beautiful.
