Stationery Trend: In Full Bloom

Surrounded constantly by an abundance of bold blooms, it is no secret that we are forever drawing inspiration from our love of flowers.  If you too are flower obsessed and are currently undecided on your wedding theme, draw inspiration from this love and opt for whimsical invitations featuring hand drawn floral motifs. Chances are that regardless of the mood of your wedding you will choose your favourite flower variety, so this trend is a great way to ensure a cohesive look.

For the free spirit, we love minimalistic floral designs of organic wildflowers illustrated with bold watercolours (think lemon, fuchsia and tangerine) on luxe white stock; or on a wooden veneer for a rustic country aesthetic. While a palette of ivory, blush pink and mint green works well for added romance. For the finer details, we suggest choosing a simple modern san serif font to complement highly detailed designs. If you are looking to enhance a small amount of important text, larger handwritten typeface can add a touch a elegance.

Follow this trend through to your reception with a delicately illustrated menu board, individualised table numbers and thank you notes all featuring the same wildflower design.

For a more refined ambience, add only a touch of floral by sending invitations in a luxe envelopes lined with floral motifs or in sleeves adorned with floral designs. We love the delicate finishes and floral details by Paperdolls, Birds of a Feather and Papier D'Amour.
