Harbourside Chic at Aqua Dining

— Styled Shoot

Drawing inspiration and cues from the sophisticated yet relaxed, light filled space of Aqua Dining, we dreamt up plans for an elegantly effortless oceanic tablescape.. Influenced by the curiosity of the vast ocean, juxtaposed with sharp clean lines of the manmade environment and recognizable curves of the city, the balcony of Aqua Dining proved to be the picture perfect setting for our chic take on an oceanic tablescape.

An idyllic set up for a chic, intimate waterside dinner party, cascading drapes of crisp white tactile linen serves as a grounding point for clustered pieces of delicate, textural coral interwoven with tapered candles of variegated heights and layerings of shells with their iridescently pearled sides facing up, glimmering in the afternoon light.

Organic hand formed tableware in various inky shades reminiscent of the unpredictable mood of the ocean offset the sleek lines of the matte black cutlery and the understated glassware. The elegant curves of the black dining chairs complete the setting, tying in with the spectacular backdrop that is the iconic Harbour Bridge.

This look can be recreated by layering textural, curious elements with finer delicate, organic pieces. Contrast is key for creating interest within the setting, offset with unexpected sharp lines and striking bold black elements for drama.
