Behind The Brand

What was the initial spark for your brand, how did it all begin?

The spark for my brand ignited from my love of storytelling through design and my background in fashion, where I learned the art of balancing creativity with precision. I’ve always been passionate about creating moments that feel authentic and memorable, with every detail thoughtfully curated to reflect individuality.

The journey began even before I moved to the Netherlands, when I dreamed of starting a wedding planning business in Spain – at a time when hiring a wedding planner was still a novel concept there. During my corporate career in the Dutch fashion industry, I realized I could merge my expertise in design and precision with my passion for weddings. This led me to focus on destination wedding planning in Spain. Over time, I expanded my services to Portugal, a country that inspires me deeply with its beauty and culture.

My background in fashion shapes my approach to design, bringing elegance and refinement to every project, while my love for travel fuels my appreciation for diverse styles and traditions. At my core, I value meaningful connections and thrive on collaborating with couples who share a passion for creativity and the extraordinary.

This vision has evolved into a boutique service built on meticulous planning, seamless execution, and a dedication to crafting weddings that are as heartfelt as they are stunning. For me, it’s about creating a day that feels effortless yet extraordinary, where every moment resonates with intention and joy.

I offer complete wedding planning and styling services, carefully tailored to each couple’s vision and needs. From conceptualizing the overall look and feel of the day to managing every logistical detail, my goal is to ensure the experience is seamless and unforgettable. Services include:

• Full Wedding Planning and Day off-coordination: From venue selection to coordinating with top vendors, I oversee every aspect to bring your dream wedding to life.
• Styling and Design: I curate cohesive, elegant aesthetics that reflect your personality and love story, ensuring every detail is thoughtfully considered.

How would you describe your aesthetic?

My aesthetic is timeless yet modern, with an emphasis on elegance and refined details. I strive to create designs that feel authentic and personal, blending sophistication with subtle touches of creativity.

Whether it’s a romantic outdoor ceremony, a chic black-tie affair, or an intimate elopement, my style focuses on effortless beauty and harmony. I love working with natural elements, layering textures, and balancing color palettes to craft settings that are as stunning as they are meaningful.

Above all, my aesthetic is about creating a sense of understated luxury that leaves a lasting impression.

As a planner or stylist, what are you inspired by at the moment in the world of weddings?

What inspires me most at the moment are the couples themselves – their personalities, stories, and passions. Understanding who they are, what they love, and what makes them unique is always the starting point for creating something truly personal.

I also find endless inspiration in the venue and its surroundings. Whether it’s the architecture, the landscape, or the cultural heritage of the location, I strive to create a meaningful connection between the couple and the setting, weaving their story into the design.

It’s about blending these elements to craft weddings that feel deeply authentic and reflective of the couple’s individuality.

What would you like to see less of?

In the wedding industry, I’d love to see less emphasis on trends that prioritize spectacle over authenticity. I believe that each couple’s wedding day should reflect their unique story, personality, and values, rather than following what’s popular at the moment. I’d also love to see less pressure on couples to conform to a certain standard of what a wedding should be, allowing for more creativity and individuality in how weddings are celebrated.

A styling/planning tip or two you’ve learned along the way that you’d give to any couple?

Stay true to what feels right for you as a couple, not what others might expect. It’s easy to get caught up in the opinions of family and friends, but ultimately, your wedding day is about celebrating your love and creating a memory that feels deeply meaningful to you. Whether it’s choosing an unconventional venue, embracing a unique theme, or opting for an intimate guest list, trust your instincts and design a celebration that’s authentically yours.

Another invaluable tip: trust the professionals you’ve hired. While you may have a clear vision for your big day, wedding planners, florists, photographers, and other vendors are experts at bringing those dreams to life. Handing over the details to their capable hands allows you to relax and fully immerse yourself in the experience, free from unnecessary stress. After all, your focus should be on the joy of the moment.
