About Bayleigh Vedelago

I began working as a wedding and portrait photographer close to 10 years ago, which has offered me an incredible career documenting beautiful weddings all over the world.

It has always been important to me that images are captured with a considered eye and truthful approach, and can hold the mood and atmosphere of a certain time and place.

My intention is to create imagery that feels joyful and informal, but distinguished by warmth, humanity and style.

Behind The Brand

How would you describe your photography style?

Simple, stylish and sophisticated.

What is it that makes an image magical?

Images that emanate an atmosphere and mood. Beautiful light, great composition.

What advice would you give to the camera-shy couple?

Choose a photographer that makes you feel at ease and comfortable in their presence. The most important thing to me is that a couple feels relaxed, and completely themselves. From this place, I think the most honest, intimate and beautiful images are created.

Do you travel interstate or internationally?

I do, I regularly travel interstate and overseas for weddings each year. The past few years I have been fortunate to swap the Australian winter to photograph the summer season in Europe which I absolutely love.

As an estimate, how long does your editing process take?

I share an initial preview gallery with each couple within the first 1-2 weeks of their wedding, with the complete collection of images then delivered within 4 months. A significant amount of time is spent on the editing process to deliver a full gallery of images that have a refined standard from start to finish. It is important to me that each wedding is given the time, care and love it deserves.

Describe a magical moment from a wedding you’ve photographed…

One that comes to mind is a beautiful wedding I captured in the south of France. The wedding was held in a historic chateau in a small hilltop village. It had been a really hot day and the guests were a little buzzed from the afternoon champagne in the sun, which was now setting behind the mountains. The first toast of the evening was made and the mood was so joyous! The magic of the whole scene was palpable, it was such an incredible moment to capture. A beautiful reminder of our role to create images that can preserve the feelings of a moment in time.
