Behind The Brand

Your best advice for honeymoon/vacation planning?

First of all, think about you and your significant other. It’s really mainly about making you as a couple happy. The destination must be a place to feel good, to disconnect, to get away from your daily buzzing routine. Maybe you feel like getting to know a new country or city, maybe you just want to go back to a place where you felt really special. Our best advice would be: do what makes you happy!

What can couples expect to see and experience when staying at Cal Reiet?

Cal Reiet is a special place. Not only for couples but for everyone visiting. We see our retreat as a big modern cosmopolitan family, as we create deep connections with the people who visit. There are different options to enjoy Cal Reiet as a couple. You can choose to join some of the wonderful retreats we offer all year long and live a life-changing experience together, which is a truly beautiful start for a new life as a family. But if you don’t feel like being part of a retreat, you can also come visit Cal Reiet as a hotel guest. In this case, you can expect tons of privacy, quiet and peace. Spend a day by the pool, join a yoga lesson in the morning or afternoon if you feel like, have delicious plant-based food and explore the area, as we’re located in Mallorca’s Southeast, surrounded by some of the most stunning beaches of this Mediterranean island.

What advice do you have in terms of packing?

Packing, of course, would always depend on the time of the year you’ll be planning on visiting. Summertime is easy: a lot of light clothing, bathing suits and sunscreen! In spring and autumn, the island awaits with good weather, tons of sunny days, but some cloudy or rainy days too, which is why you would need a light jacket too. And during winter on the island the temperatures drop, we DO have a cold winter here on the island, but the sun never stops shining, which is why you can experience some warm days even in January or February.

What’s the best time of year to visit?

Every time of the year has its own special charm on the island. We must say Mallorca changes its colors throughout the year and this makes it even more magical. If you ask me, I’m all about the months May, June, September and October.

Describe a perfect day when staying at Cal Reiet?

It starts with an early-morning yoga lesson. Then comes breakfast. And what a breakfast! Cal Reiet’s table is actually open for hotel guests and visitors, as we offer superb plant-based cuisine. Every day our amazing kitchen team amazes us with something new to fall in love with this type of cuisine. After breakfast, we would suggest some reading-time by the pool or in one of the hammocks strategically placed all over the retreat. After having a snack by the pool, we would suggest a walk to get to know Santanyi, our home-town. Once you’re back at Cal Reiet, you can choose one of our fabulous treatments to enjoy some well-deserved ‘me-time’. Relax for a while at your beautiful room and come down to have dinner at Cal Reiet’s table!

Why we love it…

An exquisite property elegantly styled with luxurious furnishings and rural touches. Encircled by luscious gardens and dreamlike grassy fields beyond, there’s something utterly magical about this place that transcends its surroundings. A serene space that seeps into the soul, the pool is absolutely heavenly and the yoga shala offers daily classes to suit both beginners and advanced practitioners. We also love the culinary offering, with deliciously healthy options crafted from organic local produce.
