"Finally, a modern way to shop for your wedding dress. Discover luxury bridal beyond expectations. For starters, we’re not your typical bridal uniform. Our luxury gowns are all thoughtfully constructed and designed by women with a twist on tradition and an emphasis on comfort (we dance test all our gowns). By selling gowns directly in our own showrooms, we also offer unparalleled luxury bridal price points (no wholesale markups, you know?) without having to compromise on high-end fabrics like French lace and silks."
Behind The Brand
Describe the woman you design for…
The Floravere woman hasn’t necessarily dreamt about being a “bride” since she was a little girl. She’s probably been too busy saving, seeing, or conquering the world. She’s a modern bride, so we’ve created an experience for the modern woman. We’re upending yesterday’s idea of the bridal experience and giving a new breed of women access to luxury, style, and personalization, otherwise unattainable.
What is your most popular piece?
Our G. O’Keeffe dress because it’s unexpected, yet has totally timeless bridal elements. It has design elements typically seen in runway or couture bridal – e.g. soft, light-as-air tulle, dimensions of different shades of fabric to give it depth, and custom-designed embroidery inspired by peonies our design team sketched by hand. It’s emblematic of our larger mission which is creating unforgettable wedding gowns that we’re able to offer at historically impossible prices. Because we’ve reimagined the supply chain, we can give brides access to incomparable quality, craft, and design at always transparent prices.
What advice would you give to brides-to-be?
This is your day; not your mom’s, friend’s, or co-worker’s. When you get engaged, you may find that everyone has an opinion about something, from the flowers to the guest list. Accept help, but remember to do you. Your wedding is yours and is allowed to be your own business.
As a designer, what tips do you have for brides to get the most out of their fittings?
Wedding dress shopping can feel overwhelming for brides because they have no frame of reference for trying on dresses like these. You have probably never worn a wedding gown before that first fitting, and it’s normal to feel a little lost! We recommend drawing inspiration and references from outside the bridal universe to help orient you. What looks do you gravitate to when you’re watching the Grammy red carpet pre-show? What silhouettes do you like to wear just in your everyday life or when you’re going out dancing and want to feel your most confident? Think about the pieces you feel best in, and work your way back to bridal from there.
Do you offer a custom design service for brides? If so, how long does it take to make a custom piece?
While we do not offer a custom design service, all of our gowns are handcrafted and made-to-order. You can try on gowns from our collection in any of our showrooms, and your dress will be crafted for you in five months, with rush delivery options available in as few as three months.
What advice do you give to brides to care for their gown?
We help refer our brides to our network of local cleaners and bridal gown specialists who can help preserve their gowns after the wedding. We also encourage our brides to think outside the box and do what feels authentic to them when it comes to their gown. For some brides, this means tailoring it so they can wear it again, donating it to give back to their community, or reselling it to be green and giving a beautiful garment the chance to be celebrated again.
Why we love it…
Simple, chic silhouettes and unabashedly feminine details in beautiful fabrics. We love their game-changing approach to the bridal shopping experience.
For the bride…
Wanting beautiful gowns at affordable price points without compromising on quality. Floravere is also a perfect option for busy brides looking for a flexible customer service experience or the opportunity to shop online.
