Behind The Brand

Your best pieces of advice for event planning…

After seeing so many brides throughout my career, I have gained much experience in this subject and I can only say that when you know you’re going to start searching for a wedding gown you should be ready for the ride! Creating a couture gown that fits your measures, and perhaps customized to your taste, is a dynamic process that takes time and changes. Taking into consideration that the bride is under so much stress and has about a 1,000 more things to be on top of, the dress is still going to be the one main thing you will be judged for. So know that, love it and own this; be true to yourself and don’t lose weight! You’re just right as you are.

Regarding the” technical issues”, we recommend having somewhat of an idea when coming for the first appointment with a bridal consultant, an idea for the look & feel that contains the H&M desired style (an updo or just put down with extensions will have effects on the type of cleavage for instance), the wedding theme, the height of your heels, the location (is it a royal celebration or a woodland fairytale for example), and the season. There is where it begins to add up and we will continue to write with and for you, your love story, and create the perfect wedding gown.

What was the spark for your brand? Where did the story begin?

I wanted to give women the freedom of choice and the chance to create something for themselves. I dreamt of creating a fashion house that brings women the opportunity to choose how they look and feel (and this is why I insist on custom designs). Our evening wear is all about that – personalizing the garment, where our brides are still more true to the designs, but they bring their wishes to the table and we create custom alterations and additions, so no bride of ours resembles the other. Our brides are so diversified, I think it speaks for itself.

What inspires you creatively?

I love people and so I surround my self with many many people of a large range of ages, cultural backgrounds, and fields of interests. Every story I hear awakens something in me, it can be regarding a hobby of one of my employees or an experience from my travels.

Most memorable place you’ve travelled?

Paris, January 2017 – after being accepted to the official calendar by Chambre Syndicale de la haute couture and being invited to present alongside the most talented designers in the field – that had a great positive impact on me and the whole fashion house. I was in Paris before, but this was reviving.

On a typical weekend, we’ll find you?

Like all grandmas in the world (I hope so), with my grandchildren in the swimming pool or at the park, strolling around.

A favorite quote?

I like to refresh my quote archive every now and then when I find something I relate to. This one feels as if it was written for my 32 y/o self. I didn’t have this quote back then, but I’m happy it’s available for others like me, today –

“Start over, my darling. Be brave enough to find the life you want and courageous enough to chase it. Then start over and love yourself the way you were always meant to.” – Author and poet Madalyn Beck

Editor’s Notes

Why we love it…

Like something pulled from a fairytale, gowns are of a dream-like regal glamour.

For the woman…

Who wants to command the room in a show stopping dress.

Styling tips…

Pull things back by keeping the styling minimal… think one bloom bouquets, soft up-dos and simple sandal heels. Style bridesmaids in simple blush or neutral dresses for a complimentary tonal palette.
