About Halo & Wren

Halo & Wren is an award-winning bridal boutique created after founder Jemma's own personal struggle to find a fashion-forward yet relaxed gown for her own wedding.

Halo & Wren provides bridal gowns for the relaxed, modern bride, seeking understated, non-traditional or international designers that are beautiful and unique.

The boutique is nestled amongst the historic cobbled streets of Old Town, Hemel Hempstead, Herts, ideally situated twenty minutes outside of London.

Behind The Brand

How would you describe your boutique in three words?

Relaxed, modern and beautiful.

What is the concept behind your store?

Halo & Wren (H&W) bridal was created after my own personal bridal gown buying experience. I was left feeling unrepresented as a modern bride in a tirade of mainstream. I developed the store to be aspirational in its achingly cool appearance, with its fresh white walls, curated mix of designer furniture and texture-led neutral tones. Our calm aesthetic and relaxed experience, when paired with H&W’s carefully selected rail of designer bridal labels, forms a truly irresistible bridal blend.

What labels do you stock at the boutique? Do you also offer accessories?

Halo & Wren are proud to have handpicked our designers to represent our diverse brides from the Ukranian Alena Leena, to our Australian favorites Jane Hill, Made With Love, and Amy New. We’re keen to share new and emerging talent including our Cardiff based E&W Couture, and our newest addition, Esty Style. We pick designers that are on-brand with our relaxed ethos but are strong in their own design concepts like Daalarna Couture and &forlove, all bringing such a wonderfully diverse range of gowns and styles to H&W.

Our accessories are carefully picked from Maison Sabben in Paris, locally produced in the UK is our supplier Kiri & Bell and our veils are hand made by Helen Martin also here in the UK.

Where can brides find you and what do they need to know before booking an appointment?

Halo & Wren is situated at no.85 High Street, in the historic cobbled streets of Old Town, Hemel Hempstead, Herts, ideally situated twenty minutes outside of London. Appointments are booked via our website’s live booking portal, and we can be found busily sharing inspiration on all of our social channels.

What you need to know before visiting H&W would be to be researched but to stay open-minded, and let us help you find the dream gown. We’re experts at finding out what is truly you.

What styling tips do you have for bride and their bridal party?

We’re keen to support brides to be brave, to care less about what others think and indulge in themselves for this one special day. We help achieve different looks throughout their day, from changing hair accessories to making bespoke changes of sleeves. We’re the bride’s biggest supporters, so we will encourage brides to have what they really want, not what they think they should have.

What’s your number one piece of advice for brides attending their appointment?

Prepare to be told honestly how incredible and beautiful you are by the stylists – we’re BIG fans of women, especially our brides. We will support and guide you through the appointment, working out what makes you look and feel the best.
