Behind The Brand
What was the initial spark for your brand, how did it all begin?
Mafesa was born from a family business, an industrial dry cleaner, where they were responsible for cleaning restaurant tablecloths and napkins, among other services. Sandra Buitrago’s father started renting tablecloths in addition to cleaning them. When Sandra started at Mafesa, she incorporated furniture and decoration to rent for weddings and events.
What services do you offer couples?
In addition to renting furniture, tablecloths, cutlery and decoration for weddings in Mafesa, we help couples carrying out their wedding decoration project.
How would you describe your aesthetic?
Mediterranean elegance defines our style. At Mafesa we are very attentive to new trends in wedding decoration, trying to have a representation of them in our furniture and decoration rental catalog for weddings and events.
As a planner or stylist, what are you inspired by at the moment in the world of weddings?
California, Australia, Italy and New Mexico make very daring weddings that inspire us in our wedding decoration projects.
A styling/planning tip or two you’ve learned along the way that you’d give to any couple?
Our advice is that you have a wedding designed according to your tastes and that makes you enjoy a unique day with the people you love.
