Behind The Brand
What draws you to wedding photography?
I was drawn to weddings because I’m fascinated by human connection. There’s something truly profound about the way people come together, and I’ve always believed that weddings are the pinnacle of this concept and the most beautiful representation of coming together.
As an artist, I view wedding photography as one of the greatest honours, not just because of the trust involved and weight of the work but because of the deeply authentic moments of connection I’m privy to. Preserving the beauty, love, and joy that unfold on such a monumental day is the most rewarding, purpose filled life I could have hoped for and has given me clarity about the world and my place in it.
How would you describe your photography style?
I’d describe my photography style as a blend of timeless elegance and authentic storytelling. It’s rooted in a refined, editorial approach, where each image feels intentional and elevated, but always grounded in the real emotions and connections of the day. With an emphasis on natural, clean light and thoughtful compositions I capture moments that celebrate the art of life well lived in a natural, effortless and unscripted way. Ultimately, I aim to create images that are not only visually stunning and elevated but also deeply personal – photos that reflect the couple’s story in an authentic, luxurious way.
What inspires you creatively?
Creatively, I draw on my own experiences with the world around me to lead my craft. Human connection is at the heart of my photography and centres on real, authentic moments that often go unnoticed. It’s these seemingly small things that often inspire my most powerful work, and they remind me to always look a little deeper.
I find inspiration in the play of natural light, the elegance of thoughtful details, and the way emotions unfold in real time. Beyond weddings, I’m drawn to modern architecture, interior design, fine art and comedy.
What is it that makes an image magical?
A magical image is one that goes beyond the surface and evokes an emotion or memory that feels timeless. It’s that perfect alignment of light, composition, and connection that transforms a moment into something greater. For me, the magic comes from capturing genuine, unguarded moments – when people are fully present, and their emotions are authentic.
It’s not just about technical precision. The real magic happens when an image resonates with someone on a personal level, when it transports them back to a feeling or a memory. It’s this blend of artistry and emotion that turns a photograph into something unforgettable.
What advice would you give couples when selecting their wedding photographer?
When choosing your wedding photographer, it’s crucial to find someone who can capture your day in a way that feels authentic and true to you. Look for someone whose style aligns with your vision but also someone who prioritises your experience. The best images are born from genuine moments, not forced interactions. It’s important that your photographer can help you feel at ease, allowing you to relax and be comfortable, rather than making you pose awkwardly or act in ways that doesn’t feel natural to you.
A photographer should understand that their role isn’t just to capture the day but to make sure you enjoy it fully. After all, being transported back to your wedding day through photos should feel joyful, not uncomfortable or stiff. Meeting with your photographer before the big day is key – it helps you gauge if they’ll create the kind of atmosphere where you feel comfortable and free to be yourselves.
Your dream location to shoot a wedding?
I’m fortunate enough to have ticked all the most iconic and breathtaking locations, like the Amalfi Coast, Lake Como, French châteaux, and elegant estates throughout, my list of dream locations is fortunately shrinking. However, I’m always inspired by unique settings that offer something new – a remote private island in the Maldives would be at the top of the list right now.
