Behind The Brand
What draws you to wedding photography?
I’m fascinated about capturing authentic human connection and emotion. There is something profoundly beautiful about getting let into the inner sanctum and of complete strangers, and being wholly entrusted to capture their most vulnerable moments. If fills my cup and makes me want to be a better person to the people I’m closest to. My passion for wedding photography is deeply embedded in my desire to capture authentic human connections.
How would you describe your photography style?
I’d say my photography style is modern documentary. It’s an approach that focuses mostly on candid and natural moments while staying as unobtrusive as possible. There are opportunities for more structured portraits if interested, otherwise my main is on capturing images that are a true representation of you and your love.
What inspires you creatively?
Spending time in nature, away from distraction and alone with my thoughts. Also collaborating and creating with other imaginative and creative minds is really uplifting.
What is it that makes an image magical?
It’s magical if it makes you feel something. For me it’s a perfectly timed unscripted moment frozen in time, or the pure joy on the face of a loved one that makes you light up when you see it.
What advice would you give couples when selecting their wedding photographer?
It’s important to choose the right person for you. Do you love their work? Do they have the experience to handle a variety of situations or do they only photograph models at sunset in the Mediterranean?
Are they the kind of person you want to be around on your wedding day? Do you feel comfortable around them? Are they kind/genuine/patient? Basically, do they seem like your kind of people? The only way to know for sure is with a good old face to face chat. Trust your gut.
Also, choose 3 or 4 to get in touch with. Not 20+. You’ll just confuse yourself and make deciding very difficult.
Your dream location to shoot a wedding?
