Behind The Brand
What draws you to wedding videography?
Wedding videography captures the essence of one of the most important days in people’s lives. What draws me to it is the chance to document the genuine, unfiltered emotions of the day – the joy, the tears, the laughter, and everything in between. There’s something incredibly powerful about turning these once-in-a-lifetime moments into lasting memories. Each wedding has its own story, a unique blend of personalities, cultures, and emotions, and being able to creatively interpret that into a visual piece is something that deeply resonates with me.
How would you describe your videography style?
My videography style is modern, emotional, and authentic. I focus on creating a narrative that feels natural, using a blend of candid moments and curated shots to evoke the emotions of the day. I lean on a storytelling approach that emphasizes the connections between people, not just the couple, but their families and friends as well. I also place a lot of emphasis on the use of light and composition to create visually stunning, yet intimate films that don’t feel forced or overly produced.
What inspires you creatively?
I find inspiration everywhere. In nature, in the way light changes throughout the day, in music, and in the people I meet. I’m particularly inspired by real moments – those split-second interactions between a couple, a shared glance, or a quiet moment that speaks volumes. Music is another huge influence; it’s often the starting point for how I envision the tone and pacing of a project. Films, art, and even architecture help shape my approach to framing, color palettes, and visual composition. But ultimately, it’s the uniqueness of each couple and their story that fuels my creativity the most.
What is it that makes a film magical?
A film becomes magical when it transcends the ordinary and connects emotionally with the audience. It’s about the subtle interplay between visuals, music, and pacing that can evoke a deep emotional response. In wedding films, it’s the combination of raw, unguarded emotions and the careful crafting of the narrative that creates this magic. When the audience can feel the love, the energy of the day, and even place themselves in the moment, that’s when the film truly comes alive.
What advice would you give couples when selecting their wedding videographer?
My advice to couples would be to look beyond just the price or technical skills. Choose a videographer whose style resonates with you, someone who can tell your story the way you envision it. Watch their previous work (especially full films), talk to them about your vision, and see if you connect on a personal level – because that connection will translate into the film. Trust and communication are key. You want someone who will not only capture the big moments but also the smaller, often overlooked ones that make your day unique.
Your dream location to shoot a wedding?
I don’t have a single dream location because what excites me the most is the opportunity to shoot in new places. Exploring different countries, cultures, and landscapes fuels my creativity and pushes me to approach each project differently. Each location brings its own unique energy and atmosphere, which in turn inspires me to adapt my style and storytelling to suit that environment. Whether it’s a beach in Bali, a vineyard in France, or a bustling cityscape, the newness of each place keeps me motivated and engaged, making every wedding an exciting creative challenge.
