Set inside the ageing walls of Sydney venue Chin Chin, The Lane together with photographer This Day Forward and Floral Styling team The Hunted Yard put together a tablescape laced with moments of contemporary etherealism and effortless romance.
Drawing inspiration from the venues desaturated palette is a layered look of artisan objects and nude washed fabrics. The style, untamed and unbound; finding a newfound beauty beyond the rules of symmetry and order.
Plant dyed fabrics from Silk & Willow were draped with a disorderly fashion across the table. A textural layering of detail extended throughout the tablescape with the inclusion of selenite crystal and crumbling concrete candles, frayed paper goods and subtle rimmed champagne coupes. The palette designed with an intentional lack of contrast is redeemed with an indulgent delivery of unexpected textures, layers and materials.
The layering of unexpected textures incorporated beyond excess feature with an art-like synergy
