Spring ’20 Bridal

This season Galia Lahav took volume to new proportions, but the brand has never felt lighter. There was a weightlessness to the collection that brought contrast to the drama and ornate detail they’re renowned for. Swathes of tulle floated effortlessly around the body into flattering and fashion-forward silhouettes. Juliet and bishop sleeves paired with meticulous corsetry were offset with pleated tulle folding into cloud-like sculptures, cascading into a flowing train. A collection of elegant restraint and balance, for the bride who likes to take centre stage.

Tell us about the inspiration and story behind the Spring ’20 collection?

Our collection was inspired by what a star goes through behind the scenes before stepping into her role. The process of her blossoming into her own, a young woman going out into the big world, listening to her own voice, and believing in herself.

How has the collection developed on from last season?

There’s an evolution in every collection, however, our guidelines remain the same, we create fashion for brides, our Couture collection is a statement, and our Gala collection is fashion forward.

Tell us about the silhouettes of the season…

Innovative silhouettes featuring structured shoulders, sleeves, and corsets, softened by ethereal shades of ash pink, silver, and white. Throughout the collection, tailored opaque bases are contrasted by romantic tulle, organza, and French guipure lace; fitted bodices are paired with voluminous skirts, sheer side panels, and low backs.

Volume in sleeves and hemlines has been pumped up, while hidden inserts in the skirts provide more body and movement. From subtle mermaid silhouettes to pronounced trumpet shapes, wistful ballgowns, and modern A-line adaptations, this is a collection for extraordinary imagination and otherworldly beauty.

All of our embellishments and embroideries are exclusive, designed and drawn by us, Galia and Sharon give extra attention to the tiniest details in each dress, this is a signature of the Galia Lahav look, making each dress personal and making a statement.

Both collections are a reflection of personal and unique taste, be yourself and own it.
