When we heard one of our favorite jewelry brands were launching their new flagship store in Sydney, we knew it was going to be special. Balancing an old world elegance that we search for in engagement rings, with boldly artistic designs and unexpected gemstones – this stunning new space is a culmination of everything we love about Grew & Co.

The Lane team were invited to host and style the launch event in the heart of Sydney CBD – a decadent evening of champagne, an exclusive look a their new collection of jewels, and artisans on display creating bespoke pieces live in the store.

The Experience

Part of Sydney’s new Arc building, Grew & Co’s fit out spills with the unexpected contrast we love about the brand. Bold, masculine and contemporary details in onyx tones, glass and marble finishes are softened with layers of blush shades and brushed metallic surfaces.

Chic glass cabinets display decadent jewels in the brand’s signature geometric and asymmetrical styles – a kaleidoscope of rare coloured gemstones and exquisite diamonds. Floating above, exposed shelving house Grew & Co’s new line of luxury homewares – an beautiful edit of internationally sourced decor pieces, jewelry boxes and unique gifts.

Beyond the aesthetics we’re drawn to, what distinguishes Grew & Co from mass market luxury jewelry brands is the artisanal nature of their work. Every piece is handcrafted right there in store. Behind a glass wall that spans the entire length of the boutique, customers can view artisans at work, meticulously creating every individual design. A fascinating glimpse at the intricate process, historic technique and soul behind the brand.

Bespoke Service

For those who wish to have a custom piece created by the Grew & Co team, a private consultation room sits at the back of the store overlooking Sydney CBD. Here you can peruse an extensive library of gemstones, perfect the cut, material and setting of your engagement ring or wedding band in a personal consultation with designer Simon Grew.

The Event

Invited to style the opening launch party, The Lane team created styling that felt bold and elegant but most importantly didn’t detract from the beauty of the boutique. We created a contemporary grazing table and floral display with stacked lucid cubes and mirrored surface plinths, finished with artistic floral installations in nude and pastel tones by the incredibly talented ladies behind Nikau Flower Bar and catering by Studio Neon.

Frerejean Frères French champagne (from Noble Spirits) was served in crystal cut champagne flutes by The Vintage Kitchen from the bar adorned in artful arrangement of fresh blooms.
