Poetic vows shared in secrecy. Two hearts intertwined. A love story woven by intimate moments and solidified in solitude. Elopements hold an alluring magic that tempts the wild romantic in all of us.
Discarding extravagant wedding plans and stripping everything back to it’s essence, just the two of you, speaks loudly to so many of us in the midst of uncertainty today. For Sydney designer KAREN WILLIS HOLMES, the purity, simplicity and romance of an elopement has inspired her new capsule collection – a revolution for the brand renowned for more traditional bridal silhouettes.
Designed for spontaneous adventure, this eight-piece made to order collection is all about effortless romance, uncomplicated silhouettes and freedom of movement. Considered detail punctuates every look – little finishes that captivate and elevate each piece for bridal. Our favorite is the bias cut slip in fluid silk finished with an open back and delicate silk straps with feathered ends (which detach for the more minimalist bride). Structured jumpsuits are modernized with cut out detail, tailored pantsuits and double-breasted blazers are finished with pearlescent buttons.

The refined simplicity of the Elope collection lends to endless styling possibilities. Create chic contrast on a secluded mountain top, barefoot in the mini silk slip with bold baroque pearl earrings and a low knotted bun. Celebrate downtown in a classically tailored piece and strappy heels, meet in a small bar for cocktails after a city hall ceremony. Change into the off-shoulder fitted bodice and short as a second look for the reception, perfect for warm balmy nights dancing on a rooftop amongst a city skyline.
