An Ambient Midnight Soiree
A darkly ethereal setting by Allegory Events explores the duality of light and dark within historic timeworn walls.
Inside the richly historic walls of an ancient and newly restored church The Mount Without, photographer Jess Withey captures a tablescape trailing in ethereal light. A darkly enchanting setting that mirrors celestial skies, the styling explores the duality of light and shade. In a palette of midnight and pearlescent hues, wisps of dried blooms are scattered throughout ambient candles, casting reflections that dance over timeworn textures. Evoking nostalgia and romance, diaphanous fabrics are suspended from towering ceilings and a textural cake spills with undulating layers.
“Don’t be afraid of choosing black, even if it’s only candles, cutlery, or napkins. It sets the tone for an intensely romantic atmosphere.”
“Tapered candles in beautiful candle holders of different heights work so beautifully through the middle of the table. Separate some, and group others together for an appealing, asymmetrical look.”
