Executive Editor

Position / Full Time
Location / Byron Bay, Australia (remote position considered for Australian applicants, preference given to Byron Bay based residents)

Reports to / Editor & Creative Director
Overview / To co-ordinate the execution of The Lane’s digital magazine content schedule, supervise the editorial and creative agency teams and create content where required ensuring The Lane’s strategic objective and KPI’s are achieved.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with the Editor on the development of editorial and creative agency calendar.
  • Coordinate The Lane’s content calendar from creative strategy to execution across digital magazine and social media platforms to achieve the company’s strategy & meet KPI’s.
  • Assign all creative work to team and brief on creative strategy.
  • Supervise the creative team (permanent and freelance) and ensure all work meets KPI’s and deadlines.
  • Edit all creative work to be published on The Lane digital magazine and social media platforms, before sending to the Editor.
  • Execute any creative work as required, including article layouts & copywriting, design-work, creative briefs, photoshoot creative direction and styling as assigned.
  • Report on all creative content KPI performance.
  • Manage and evaluate the effectiveness of magazine team.
Requirements
  • Min 2 years experience in similar media or creative agency role.
  • Min 1 years management experience.
  • Tertiary degree.
  • Creative writing experience.
  • Ideally experienced in WordPress CMS, In Design, Photoshop, Asana, Yeost SEO (but not essential).

Social Media Manager

Position / Full Time (Part Time considered)
Location / Byron Bay, Australia (remote position considered for Australian applicants, preference given to Byron Bay based residents)

Reports to / Marketing Manager
Overview / To manage The Lane’s social media and EDM platforms in line with the company’s marketing strategy, core values and KPI’s

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, coordinate and execute The Lane’s EDM and social media strategy & schedule inline with company strategy & KPI’s
  • Create and publish The Lane’s EDM and social media content across all platforms, including designing all stories, photographing and filming any required (iPhone) content, writing all social media captions.
  • Manage all social media messages and communications
  • Monitor & record all KPI performance & produce all required reports for management 
Requirements
  • Min 2 years experience ideally in a media publication or advertising agency.
  • Strong visual skills. Graphic design experience is ideal.
  • Creative writing experience.
  • Ideally experienced in Photoshop, Planoly, Campaign Monitor & Asana (but not essential).

Marketing Coordinator

Position / Full Time

Reports to / Marketing Manager
Overview / To achieve The Lane’s business objectives by coordinating and executing The Lane’s annual marketing strategy, activity plan and in line with KPI’s.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with Marketing Manager on the development of The Lane’s marketing strategy and activity plan.
  • Coordinate and execute The Lane’s Marketing Activity Plan schedule, to produce Marketing Strategy KPI results, by deadlines.
  • Oversee all website development projects and tasks, liaising with website manager and The Lane team.
  • Implement SEO plan for digital magazine content.
  • Plan and execute The Lane events and brand experiences, organize sponsorships, monitor and report on all KPI’s
  • Work with creative team to execute all marketing-related magazine content, producing any content as required.
  • Develop The Lane’s annual and promotional Media Kits and Brand Partnership presentations.
  • Provide support to the Sales and Brand Partnerships teams.
  • Monitor and report on the performance of all marketing activities.
Requirements
  • Min 3 years experience in a similar role, ideally in a media publication or advertising agency.
  • SEO and Google Analytics experience.
  • Social Media Management experience is ideal but not essential.
  • Experience in Photoshop, Planoly, Campaign Monitor & Asana is ideal but not essential.
