Social Media & Creative Submissions Editor

Position / Full Time

Locations / Remote to applicants located in Europe – ideally Italy, France or Spain.

Reports to / Managing Editor

Overview / Develop and creatively execute social media strategies across all channels to increase brand awareness, engagement and drive growth to support business objectives. Manage the publication of creative content submissions in line with The Lane’s editorial strategy. 


Key Responsibilities
  • Review & analyze content performance and data, work with the editorial and marketing teams to develop social media strategy and calendar. 
  • Work with the editorial and marketing teams to strategize project performance and amplification.
  • Create, implement and manage The Lane’s monthly social media & EDM/newsletter schedule across all platforms for both The Lane Creative Agency and Magazine.
  • Work closely with the editorial team to publish feature stories across social media.
  • Work alongside the editorial/creative agency teams to develop native content (or outsource where required).
  • Create and execute short form video content and editing treatments, including editorial shoot and event content when required. 
  • Design, publish and write copy for all social media posts (using both supplied content or native content).
  • Develop a creative partnership/influencer strategy, engage existing creative partners and artists across social campaigns.
  • Ensure The Lane’s core values and visual strategy is perfectly represented across all social channels at all times.
  • Enrich The Lane’s community relationships on social media.
  • Monitor & record all KPI performance & produce all required reports.


  • Min 2 years previous experience in a Social Media Management role (or similar) with proven success, ideally in media/creative agency, fashion or interiors. Luxury experience an advantage. (note – wedding industry experience is not necessary).
  • Previous experience in marketing & photography/videography experience is an advantage.
  • Strong relationships with key media, creatives and relevant influencers.
  • Strong knowledge of the fashion & beauty, interiors and lifestyle industries.
  • Proficient with Planoly (or similar), Asana, Mac. 
  • Flexibility and accessibility for travel domestically and internationally and after-hour work where required, especially given international team / client-base and timezones.

Business Development Executives

Position / 3-6 Month initial contract (Maternity Leave contract initially which will likely extend to ongoing contract or permanent position)

Reports to / Business Development Manager.

Overview / Acquire and retain long-term, quality brand partners for The Lane magazine and creative agency, provide creative marketing solutions and achieve key business financial targets.


Key Responsibilities
  • Execute business development strategies to achieve KPI’s.
  • Develop and qualify a lead list consisting of creative brands & services that fit with The Lane’s strategic objective and core values.
  • Identify and propose bespoke brand partnership solutions within The Lane magazine and creative agency, tailored to each unique client.
  • Consistently reach sales targets and KPI’s.
  • Build and enrich strong, long-term relationships and retain brand partners.
  • Attend and prepare for brand partnership meetings and presentations.
  • Manage a sales funnel, analyze and forecasts using Salesforce reports.
  • Min 2 years previous experience in a Business Development, Advertising/Media Sales or similar role (employment at a relevant fashion or lifestyle publication or creative agency an advantage)
  • Experience working with both luxury and boutique businesses.
  • Proficient in Salesforce.
  • Strong knowledge of digital marketing strategies / background in Marketing an advantage.
