A Timeworn Chapel Celebration

A poetic setting infused in timeless elegance and old-world romance – our latest styled shoot hailing from within the timeworn walls of Churchill, an inimitable veune just a stone’s throw from Melbourne.

Inspired by the concept of fusing timeless elegance and poetic beauty, Melbourne-based wedding photographer Lei Lei Clavey enlisted an impressive team of creatives to bring this styled reception shoot to life.

Inside Churchill – a 19th Century chapel nestled in country Victoria just an hour’s drive from the city – a scene imbued with age-old romance was composed, framed by the church’s stained glass windows and grand timber ceilings. The aesthetic: a considered balance of grace and whimsy, set against a timeworn canvas reminiscent of those we so often see dusted across the European countryside.

Beneath rusted metal chandeliers suspended from soaring solid oak trusses, an elegant table dressed in a muted palette of washed ivory, soft pink and oyster grey was designed.

Here, delicate, whimsical arrangements of trailing clematis, garden roses, and fresh green beech evoked an unstructured and natural feel, an apt reflection of the old-world romance emanating throughout the historic space.

Flowing dove grey silks and sheer linens with raw finishes were layered betwixt chicly classic dinner plates and antique cutlery. Scattered candlelight in a blend of brass and crystal holders were dotted amongst rambling florals and textured greenery, blanketing the space in a soft, golden glow.
