Atelier Pronovias Fall ’19 Bridal

A Spanish design house synonymous with decadence and contemporary edge, this season Pronovias gave us a rare glimpse into the inner weaving of the brand. An all-white studio in Chelsea NYC was the canvas for the ‘Art of the Bride’ presentation – an intimate journey of a Pronovias piece from fruition to realisation. Models were on display like statuesque art pieces in beautifully refined designs, while intimate rooms were filled with ateliers hand stitching, demonstrating their artisanal techniques. Toiles, sketches, fabric swatches and embellishments lined the walls and covered tables, a unique insight into the conceptual direction of the collection.

In a world of fast fashion and mass production, witnessing the craftsmanship behind Pronovias, gave us an immense appreciation for the the time, love and dedication poured into every piece, and the visionary people behind the brand. The presentation was a refreshing approach to bridal, and beautiful reminder of the importance of investing in quality and authenticity.

The presentation itself was one of the greatest highlights at NY Bridal Week. Watching on as Ateliers toiled over delicate embroidery, meticulously stitching every glass bead into an intricate floral pattern, readying to become part of a Pronovias bridal piece.
