About Floralcentric
Floralcentric is a creative floral design studio based in Auckland, New Zealand, specialising in weddings and events. Founded by Ainsley Henry, the studio was born from her passion for florals, which began 7 years ago during her time working in London. Inspired to bring her experience home, Ainsley created Floralcentric to offer couples beautifully crafted, contemporary floral designs. The work is fresh, thoughtfully unexpected, and always curated with a bespoke approach ensuring each couples personal style is reflected in every detail.
Behind The Brand
What was the initial spark for your brand, how did it all begin?
My floral journey began in London 8 years ago during my overseas experience. I had the opportunity to work with some incredible florists which inspired me to bring my knowledge back home to New Zealand to start my own business. Floral design also runs in the family — my mum is a florist too, and she’s been a huge part of my journey, teaching me everything I need to know about floral design.
What services do you offer couples?
We specialise in florals for weddings and events. We work closely with our couples to bring their floral vision to life, making sure the arrangements reflect their personal style in every single way. From luxurious celebrations to intimate gatherings, we love being part of weddings of all sizes.
How would you describe your aesthetic?
We’re always aiming to bring a fresh, modern vibe to our work. Our style is sculptural and full of movement. I love tall, quirky stems — they add so much personality to an arrangement! Everything we create is thoughtfully designed to reflect each couple’s unique vision.
As a florist, what are you inspired by at the moment in the world of weddings?
I love how weddings are moving away from tradition. Couples are embracing bold, personal touches whether it’s through a statement dress, a unique tablescape, or elegant draping. I love seeing couples push boundaries and bring their own creativity to the day.
What would you like to see less of?
Big bouquets. I love a smaller bouquet and I think we are seeing this trend come through more and more.
A styling/planning tip or two you’ve learned along the way that you’d give to any couple?
Give your florist (or stylist) a little creative freedom! With some guidance, of course, but when we’re trusted to explore ideas and get a bit creative, that’s when our best work truly comes to life.
Editor’s Notes
Why we love them…
Floralcentric leans into the sculptural and offbeat. Where unexpected silhouettes and negative space collide with a sense of depth and drama. Each arrangement balances wild whimsy with precision, layering spindly stems and curious textures into designs that feel both spontaneous and intentional. There’s a raw elegance to Ainsley Henry’s work, a way of shaping florals that resists trend in favor of expression.
For the couple…
Drawn to shape, structure, and story. Floralcentric is made for those who crave something unruly yet refined. A floral language that sidesteps the ordinary and moves with innovation and instinct. If you imagine your florals less as accent and more as atmosphere, these are the hands to trust.
