Behind The Brand
What draws you to wedding photography?
This work is personal in the most profound sense. To be entrusted with such intimate moments is both a privilege and a responsibility. And to do so with care, heart, and a deep appreciation for beauty. That is what fulfills me most.
Also, it is the beauty of it as an old ritual; full of traditions that connect us to family, history, and something bigger than ourselves. I love how these moments carry meaning far beyond just one day.
There is something quietly powerful in the way modern couples breathe new life into tradition. Honoring the past while crafting a day that is unmistakably their own. Elegant, intentional, deeply personal.
How would you describe your photography style?
I love capturing moments that feel honest, elegant, and effortless. The kind of images that don’t just show what happened, but how it felt. I love the in-between moments that hold all the emotion without needing to shout. There’s always a touch of subtle humor and joy, because for me, the best photos come when people are just being themselves.
At the heart of it, I want my images to feel like an elegant memory you carry with you. A moment that stays soft, warm, and true, no matter how many years pass.
What inspires you creatively?
I’m inspired by the things that make me pause – a certain kind of morning light, a quiet moment between people that feels completely real, or a behind-the-scenes glimpse into an Italian kitchen during a wedding, where hand gestures fly, pasta flows endlessly, and the chaos somehow feels perfectly orchestrated.
Art museums with my four-year-old are surprisingly high on the list. While I’m admiring a 17th-century masterpiece, he’s usually pointing out “the funny dog in the corner” or asking if we can get a croissant. It keeps me grounded, in the very best way.
Traveling through Europe always stirs something in me. The charm of places that don’t try too hard, it all settles quietly into how I see and create. And then there’s cinema and fashion, which both tell stories without ever needing to explain themselves. That’s the kind of inspiration I collect slowly, and try to carry with me.
What is it that makes an image magical?
A magical image is one that makes you feel something before you can explain why. It holds emotion, honesty, and atmosphere, where light, expression, and timing align effortlessly to tell a deeper story.
Often, the most striking portraits carry a quiet strength. They feel composed, but nothing is posed. Just presence. Just feeling. A glance held for a second longer, the stillness between words, the way two people exist beside one another. That’s where beauty lives.
What advice would you give couples when selecting their wedding photographer?
Try not to follow trends too closely. Instead, listen to your gut. Choose the person whose images make you pause, and whose energy feels right for the day you want to live, not just the one you want to remember.
Choose someone whose presence feels calm and respectful. Someone who knows when to step in, and when to step back. Your wedding day isn’t a stage for your photographer; it’s a space for you and your loved ones to be fully present.
Pay attention to how a photographer shows up online, too. Are they sharing every detail publicly before the night is even over? Or are they protecting the intimacy of your day? The right photographer works with care, intention, and quiet confidence. They won’t just deliver beautiful images – they’ll honour your experience and know what’s meant to stay just yours
Your dream location to shoot a wedding?
Honestly? Anywhere in Tuscany, Umbria, Florence, Rome, South Tyrol. Italy, in general, has my heart. Add Provence and Paris to that list, and I’m already packing my bags. Also, I really love Switzerland. A wedding in Lucerne would be magic. And then there are city weddings… I absolutely love the energy of places like Berlin, New York, Vienna, Munich or Barcelona. Whether it’s old-world charm or modern edge. I also love garden weddings from family homes. They have my heart.
One of my personal dreams is to shoot a wedding in the snowy mountains. The crisp mountain air, snow-dusted chalets and that quiet elegance only nature can provide. Since I recently learned to ski (and survived), I feel even more drawn to these places.
