Editor’s Notes
Why we love it…
A secluded haven enveloped by the verdant hills and picturesque valleys of Umbria. From the ancient chapel with its poetic, timeworn walls to the atmospheric courtyard and tree-lined gardens, this is a stunning venue that spills with history and authentic Italian beauty.
For the couple…
Who’ve dreamt of exchanging vows in an ancient Italian abbey as well as hosting their reception in an inimitable Italian venue, yet want to do so without having to travel to and from each location. The Abbazia is perfect for couples looking for a stunning, hassle-free option that allows them to stay in one place for the entire celebration.
Styling tips…
Think old-world romance with a contemporary twist. Choose your color palette to complement the muted frescos within the chapel and create arrangements spilling with whimsical blooms and textural greenery. For the reception, ambience is key – line the stairs and the corners of the courtyard with clusters of pillar candles and drape festoon lights above the dining tables. Opt for a live band or acoustic musician to serenade the festivities.
