Behind The Brand
What was the initial spark for your brand, how did it all begin?
Since I remenber I always felt overwhelmed with nature and all their beauty, always loved to play with flowers, but it all started to make sense when I was planning my own wedding. That was the moment when I decided to quit my job as a product designer and create my flower design brand.
The year of my wedding was actually my first year as a wedding florist and I believe that the emotional side of being also a bride made me feel more connected with my clients, a felling that until today is still there, everytime.
What services do you offer couples?
Floral design and styling for weddings and events.
How would you describe your aesthetic?
Natural, organic with a special preference for Ikebana style. But most of all, we connect our vision with the client’s aesthetic. Also, sustainability is a major value of our company and we are always searching for the most natural mechanics to work with, so floral foam is not welcome in our studio.
As a florist, what are you inspired by at the moment in the world of weddings?
I was never a person to follow trends, as much as I love to see them, I tend to follow different aproaches to whats trendy and do my own thing. So my main inspirations come from the most daily ordinary things or feelings. A nice conversation with my couples, a beautiful view, a damage wall in an old house… it doesn’t matter if it’s a ugly or a beautiful thing, as long as it comes with a history and a felling of depth and true.
What would you like to see less of?
Techniques and practices that somehow damages our nature, as floral foam. I understand that it is still a long path and not an easy one – I also took some time to get used to work with new techniques when I become a no floral foam florist some years ago – but I believe that it is an urgent matter and we all need to be more aware of that.
A styling/planning tip or two you’ve learned along the way that you’d give to any couple?
Trust! Choose the vendors that you feel more connected with and fully trust them and their vision. If you feel connected with your vendor and you make sure that he knows that, he will be the best ally that you can have on this process. The depth of that connection can be so special and beautiful that, for sure, will be reflected on the result of your event.
