Behind the Brand

What was the spark for beginning your brand?

Over a margarita, I (founder and CEO, Anna Walsh) reflected on my own bridal gown shopping experience and felt a tug to create and offer the environment, experience, and designs I wish I could have had and know would change the game for brides. Driven by the mission of bringing luxury bridal brands to Denver, Colorado and beyond, I opened Anna Bé Colorado in 2006. After many years of growing my second brand a&bé bridal shop, 2021 ushered in a new Anna Bé era as we expanded to 2 new Anna Bé bridal boutique locations, Anna Bé Minnesota in Minneapolis and Anna Bé Texas in Dallas.

What inspires you creatively?

I find creative inspiration in the great outdoors. Nothing is more grounding, inspiring, or energizing to me.

What advice can you give to brides when shopping for their dress?

Trust your gut. While shopping for your wedding dress can be a fun and communal experience, no one knows you like you do. We encourage our brides to get in tune with themselves and trust their taste in this personal purchase!

What are you drawn to in bridal right now? And what would you love to see less of?

Unique and strong points of view are what we love to see. Recognizable designers with a signature style draw us in and demand a spot in our curated collection of luxury bridal gowns. It’s tiresome to see the same fabric and silhouette in 75 different ways so we love our designers for their originality. Intricate embroidery is being explored with new materials like pearl fringe and daring dimensional florals. Minimalistic designs have been reimagined with innovative fabrics like liquid silk organza and subtly colorful jacquard. We’re really drawn to the perspectives our couture designers are bringing to bridal.
