About Antico Convento i Cappuccini

Once upon a time a Capuchin friar convent, now converted into a venue, the Antico Convento i Cappuccini stands as a testament to timeless beauty and rustic elegance.

Located in the picturesque Val d’Orcia UNESCO Heritage Site and very close to Montalcino, the home of Brunello wine, the venue, surrounded by woods and olive groves, blends history, culture, and hospitality.

Meticulously restored in full respect of its origins, the Antico Convento i Cappuccini offers its 24 guests an ethereal ambiance that honors the region's heritage while embracing the elegance of modern design.

Behind The Brand

What was the initial spark for the property and how did it all begin?

It all began with what was once a cherished family home in Montalcino, a place tended to with boundless love. We started by reclaiming its neglected exterior, freeing the olive trees from ivy’s grasp and clearing away brambles, revealing the ancient walls erected by 12th-century friars. Inspired to share the beauty and energy of this place, we embarked on a project to invite travelers to experience this timeless gem. Hospitality is a calling deeply rooted in our family DNA, driving us to transform this hidden jewel into a sanctuary where guests can immerse themselves in the essence of Tuscany and connect with something deeper. Antico Convento i Cappuccini continues to evolve, dedicating each year to perfecting this unique blend of luxury, simplicity, love for history, and reverence for nature.

What spaces do you offer for a wedding or event?

The complex features beautifully landscaped gardens, a magnificent cloister with a historic well, a charming chapel, and a large outdoor swimming pool surrounded by lush greenery. Additionally, a small olive grove enhances the venue’s rustic charm.

The renovated and brand-new apartments can accommodate up to 30 guests inside, with open spaces adorned with historic trusses.

How many guests can you cater for?
