Behind The Brand

What was the spark for beginning your brand?

A friend asked me to tailor a wedding dress for her sister because she had visited all the bridal boutiques and found nothing modern or distinctive. During the tailoring process, I started delving into this subject, finding it remarkably intriguing and promising. I enjoy breaking the rules, and bridal fashion is filled with rules and conventions.

What inspires you creatively?

By education, I am an architect, trained to see things from a broader perspective. Hence, for my design works, I seek inspiration in art, architecture, and ballet.

A favorite quote or piece of advice that inspires your creative work?

Never cease to believe and try. “Aim for the moon, even if you miss, you’ll land among the stars.”

What advice can you give to brides when shopping for their dress?

Making choices based on one’s own feelings rather than others’ opinions.

What are you drawn to in bridal right now? And what would you love to see less of?

Fewer rules, endless possibilities. And even getting married in black.
