What draws you to wedding photography?

I’ve been drawn to wedding photography for the last decade as it allows me to capture and document the celebration and eternal connection of weddings. I love that no two weddings are the same, and each couple has a unique relationship together, but also with their guests, and it is an honor to witness and capture these intimate milestones.

How would you describe your photography style?

Over the years I’ve developed in to a more unobtrusive and personalized approach to photography, and tailor my work to each couples unique dynamic. I adore capturing memories that bring the viewer back to the moment, with an artistic edge.

What inspires you creatively?

I draw a lot of inspiration from fashion and homeware photography, as well as lighting and composition I see in cinema. I then use this eye to capture all the details and beautiful, raw, unapologetic love between couples and their favourite people. I draw inspiration from everything I learn about my couples in the lead up to their day, as well as what I see and hear on the day itself. The creative narrative is drawn from all of these things.

What is it that makes an image magical?

I consider an image magical when it evokes strong emotions, captures the essence of a moment or a person’s personality, or tells a compelling visual story. It is the ability of a photograph to make the viewer feel like they are truly experiencing the moment themselves.

What advice would you give couples when selecting their wedding photographer?

I think the most important thing for couples to consider when looking for a photographer is how much they value having photos to look back on in years to come. Think ten, twenty, thirty years from now. The images captured of your wedding day aren’t just a trend or something for the ‘now’, they’re your memories to tell stories about in decades to come. Once you are able to connect with this irreplaceable value, you can then start sourcing photographers who align with your budget and photography needs. Take a peek at the photographer’s portfolio to see if their style vibes with your vision and what makes your heart flutter. That’s on social media, but also on their website too. Take a moment to soak in their creativity, eye for detail, and how they capture those heartstring-tugging emotions. You want someone who sees beyond the surface and dives deep into the beauty of your story. Of course, I highly recommend seeking out a seasoned pro (me, haha!), who’s got the experience and eye in capturing the essence of weddings. You want someone who knows just how to frame those unforgettable moments, turning them into treasured memories, but someone who can anticipated the hero candid moments before they happen.

Your dream location to shoot a wedding?

I absolutely adore travelling, so anywhere a plane can get me is exactly where I want to be! I’ll be travelling to Europe and America in 2025 so I would LOVE to chat to anyone getting married there! My future bucket list locations are Austria and Canada, though. I love an epic mountainous view!
