Behind The Brand
What draws you to wedding photography?
After years of photographing all kinds of subject matter and project types, I’m drawn to weddings because they combine so many photography modalities in one day. Portraiture, interiors, still life, photojournalism are all a part of the final gallery, and dynamic, unpredictable lighting and weather only adds to the challenge and the excitement. I love that weddings are such a personal and big life event for couples and their families. No two are alike, and I inevitably end up tearing up at every vow exchange. Making art is easy when there’s so much meaning behind what you’re photographing.
How would you describe your photography style?
Artful photojournalism with editorial instincts.
What inspires you creatively?
Pretty light, raw emotion, fine textures, color combinations, nature sounds, plants and florals, seeing passion in others, music.
What is it that makes an image magical?
When an image looks effortless but feels profound.
What advice would you give couples when selecting their wedding photographer?
Make sure you love their work and that you like the way they communicate. They should make you feel seen in every encounter.
Your dream location to shoot a wedding?
Anywhere love and intention is present.
