Behind The Brand

What was the initial spark for your brand, how did it all begin?

I spent seven years as a wedding planner and designer at MUZA Weddings. AURA was born out of necessity – there was a clear gap in the market for modern, edgy, and minimal decor, which we couldn’t find with existing vendors. Initially, AURA was created to cater exclusively to MUZA’s events, but it quickly grew into a passion of its own. Over time, I realised that my true calling was in event design. This journey naturally led to merging MUZA and AURA as sister brands, each complementing the other. My years in the wedding industry gave me invaluable insights into the market and allowed this transition to happen organically.

Your most popular products/hire items?

Our lounge furniture is by far our most popular rental category. These days, clients are drawn to sophisticated, edgy, and elegant lounge setups that prioritize both style and guest comfort, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere with a homey feel. Many fall in love with these pieces so much that they’ve asked to purchase them for their own homes – a compliment that truly means the world to us and validates our design philosophy.





What are you inspired by at the moment in the world of weddings?

Interior design has always been a passion of mine, and it continues to influence my work. My style leans toward modern comfort minimalism, with neutral tones as a foundation, complemented by bold, unexpected elements that bring personality to the design. Customization is at the heart of everything we do. Trends comes and go, we try to be true to our style and keep selling it that way. Our goal is always to create weddings that feel like elevated, unforgettable experiences – intimate, stylish, and out of the ordinary.

A décor styling/planning tip or two you’ve learned along the way that you’d give to any couple?

The key is balance. Start with a clean slate and build a cohesive mood board that aligns with your vision and venue. Think of the details as opportunities to make your event stand out – like luxurious cutlery, fine fabric napkins, or beautifully designed menus with premium finishes. Less is more, so focus your budget on the moments that matter most to you as a couple. A thoughtfully designed space with intentional details can make all the difference.

Tell us about your booking/hiring process and what couples should know beforehand.

We aim to make the process as seamless as possible. Once our newly renovated website is live, you’ll be able to explore our collection and get a feel for our style. For a first inquiry, we ask for a few key details, including your budget, venue, guest count, and event date. This allows us to reserve your date and create a client profile. You’ll then receive our priced catalog to choose your preferred items, and we’ll prepare a detailed proposal based on your selections.

If you book our event design services, the process becomes even more tailored. We use your budget to craft a mood board, which, once approved, evolves into a customized design with layouts and logistics seamlessly handled. It’s a full-service, start-to-finish experience designed to take the stress out of planning while ensuring every detail reflects your vision.
