Behind The Brand

What was the initial spark for your brand, how did it all begin?

It was a synchronicity. In 2008 I left my comfortable life in Barcelona with my family, and a few days after arriving in Ibiza I was offered a space to open a small flower shop. I had no prior knowledge of that world, but I accepted because we needed to make a living and I love challenges; hence I began training as a florist. I have a creative mind and love working with my hands to bring ideas to life and the art of floral design fit perfectly in my new life. It was the way to reinvent myself.

That summer I styled three weddings; it was very stressful and at the same time absolutely beautiful. Making that decision was, without knowing it, opening myself to a world that today is my true passion. Aurea is my grandmother’s name, and this is my tribute to her.

What services do you offer couples?

Support, guidance and inspiration to define their vision and later design all types of floral arrangements or installations. We do everything necessary to make our clients’ dreams come true.

How would you describe your aesthetic?

Elegant, natural and balanced.

As a florist, what are you inspired by at the moment in the world of weddings?

I am inspired by nature, and by other florists I admire.

What would you like to see less of?

Sometimes our couples ask for impossible colors! Because they are in love with a picture with filters from social media. To solve this, we do trials before the event so they can see the real flowers and we can define the color palette they desire.

A styling/planning tip or two you’ve learned along the way that you’d give to any couple?

My tip is: Enjoy the journey! Put yourself in the hands of reliable professionals who understand your style and vision, and with whom you feel confident with to be able to enjoy the entire wedding planning process.
