What draws you to wedding photography?
One unforgettable evening, as I wrapped up a wedding shoot, the father of the bride said to me, “The memories of our family are in your hands. Take care of them.” This job isn’t just about capturing moments; it’s about the profound responsibility of preserving the cherished memories of a couple, their loved ones, and future generations. Care is key. What draws me to wedding photography is this incredible honor. I get to transform fleeting moments into eternal memories, treating each one with the same care and nostalgia as if they were my own.
How would you describe your photography style?
Delicate. Honest. Genuine. Intimate. Documentary. Poetic. I capture the small but significant details with an attentive eye, ensuring every moment tells a unique and beautiful story.
What inspires you creatively?
With a background in Interior Design, I have a deep appreciation for art and photography. I love visiting exhibitions and I have countless books. Flea markets are my treasure troves, where I hunt for unique and whimsical finds. I’m inspired by vintage aesthetics, the charm of old-fashioned styles, and expressive couples making many love gestures. I love simple yet refined settings and the harmony of nature and architecture.
What is it that makes an image magical?
A magical photo ignites a fire within and speaks directly to the heart. It embodies the true essence of art and speaks directly to the heart. It should be timeless. A truly magical image doesn’t just capture a moment; it evokes emotions, asks questions, and sometimes gives answers.
What advice would you give couples when selecting their wedding photographer?
Photographs are the only tangible memories of your wedding day lasting a lifetime beyond your personal memory. A wedding photographer is the best investment you can make. I would recommend spending time exploring entire portfolios and choosing the photographer you are more familiar with. Identification is key. Narrow your choices down to three photographers, then schedule calls. Ask plenty of questions and seek out the vibes that align with your vision.
Your dream location to shoot a wedding?
Starting from my beloved Tuscany, Villa Cetinale stands out as a dream venue, blending timeless elegance with breathtaking landscapes. Concerning Sicily, I adore the smaller islands. While I’ve already captured the beauty of Salina and Lampedusa, I dream of photographing weddings on every single one of Sicily’s enchanting islands. Beyond Italy, I dream of a wedding in the steppes of Mongolia with a reception under a yurt and one in Japan in a Ryokan located in the snowy mountains.
