Behind The Brand

What was the initial spark for your brand, how did it all begin?

Bow Creative was conceived from a desire to celebrate the artistic, emotional, and experiential dimensions inherent in weddings. Our values revolve around elevating the customer journey, seamlessly integrating it with the distinct essence of each wedding we curate. We endeavor to authentically narrate the love story of every couple we serve – from the tapestry of their shared history, to the palpable emotions of their big day, to their envisioned memories for the future.

Guiding this vision is our Founder and Creative Director, Kath Chau, whose background in customer experience infuses our approach with a nuanced understanding of client engagement. Kath ardently collaborates with couples, the broader wedding community, and our esteemed network of vendors to orchestrate flawless experiences that resonate with perfection for all involved.

What services do you offer couples?

We extend bespoke wedding planning and styling services to discerning couples across Australia and beyond. Our approach involves developing a unique planning and/or styling brief for each of couples, then meticulously curating a team of seasoned vendors tailored to seamlessly execute on our bespoke Bow brief.

How would you describe your aesthetic?

Bow Creative specialise in creating understated, yet refined events. We value above all else that our aesthetic is reflective of and authentic to our couple and their individual stories.

As a planner or stylist, what are you inspired by at the moment in the world of weddings?

Our greatest inspiration is our couples and who they are – it is an essential part of the Bow experience that we get to know our couples on a deeper level to ensure we are truly reflective of their story. We weave this in amongst the surroundings of their chosen location, the trends of past, present and future and the foundations of design – to create something truly transformative.

What would you like to see less of?

Reduced Pressure for Perfection: Let go of the notion of a “perfect” wedding day. Embrace the beauty of imperfection and cherish the genuine moments that unfold naturally.

A styling/planning tip or two you’ve learned along the way that you’d give to any couple?

Embrace the unexpected through your entire wedding journey – as well as on the day. You never know what will occur and the “pursuit of perfection is not attainable, but if we chase perfection we can catch excellence”. A valuable quote for any discerning bride or groom to be to keep in mind.

Another wise thought to keep in mind – trust. Trust is the backbone of engaging a planner, stylist or any vendor in your wedding planning journey so it is important to rely on this source of wisdom and knowledge.
