We are Ana Paula & Veronica, founders and creative directors of Byallegra, a floral studio nestled in the heart of Mexico. We bring our artistic sense and floral expertise to life by thoughtfully guiding spectators through an immersive and transformative journey, carefully experiment with diverse textures and forms of natural elements, craft structures with meticulous attention to detail, and harmoniously blend these components into cohesive floral installations that speak to all our senses.

Behind the Brand

What was the initial spark for your brand, how did it all begin?

We are two inseparable childhood friends who grew up around nature and attended Waldorf schools, discovering our shared passion for floral artistry during our transformative time living abroad in England.

Immersed in the rich cultural traditions and sophisticated floral designs of British gardens and flower markets, we found ourselves increasingly drawn to the creative possibilities of botanical design. This profound inspiration sparked our artistic journey, leading us to experiment with our own arrangements and installations. Our mutual vision and dedication to creating floral experiences culminated in the establishment of ByAllegra Studio 14 years ago.

As a floral studio based in Mexico, we are privileged to have access to an incredibly rich and diverse botanical palette. Our location offers unique advantages:

• Diverse ecosystems providing year-round access to unique native flowers and foliage.
• Local tropical and subtropical species that create distinctive textures and forms.
• Access to both traditional Mexican florals and contemporary cultivars.

What services do you offer couples?

At ByAllegra, we offer a comprehensive range of floral services:

• Floral Arrangements: floral arrangements including bridal bouquets, ceremony decorations, reception centerpieces and installations.
• Installations: Arches, dance floors, ceremony backdrop and many more creative installations full of foliage and flowers or any other special material.
• Table styling: We love to do table styling with fruits and vegetables, candles, rocks and different props and textures all around the tables. Inspired by the surroundings we create tables with a various range of elements that work together creating harmony and beauty.
• Design proposal: We love to work together with the planning and design team to get a very unique and special design proposal. We do a mood board with sketches , color palette and propose the floral and foliage variety that we will be using .
• Site Visits: Venue assessment to plan optimal floral placements , installations and logistics.
• Editorials: working along designers, photographers and curators to do editorial sessions.

Each wedding is special, and we work closely with couples to create personalized floral designs that reflect their personal style and enhance their special day.

How would you describe your aesthetic?

Our aesthetic at ByAllegra is deeply rooted in the celebration of natural forms and organic beauty. We embrace:

• Organic Compositions: Creating designs that feel as if they’ve grown naturally in space, with flowing lines and asymmetrical balance
• Textural Diversity: Incorporating varied botanical elements that create depth and visual interest through contrasting textures
• Subtle Color Palettes: Working with nature’s own color harmonies, emphasizing soft, natural tones while incorporating subtle accent hues
• Architectural Elements: Using structural botanical elements to create dynamic installations that transform spaces
• Seasonal Integration: Celebrating the changing seasons by featuring local and seasonal florals in their most natural state
• Decorative Elements: Thoughtful incorporation of candles, vessels, and other decorative objects that complement and enhance the floral designs while maintaining harmony with the overall aesthetic.

Our designs aim to create immersive experiences that blur the line between indoor and outdoor spaces, allowing nature’s inherent beauty to take center stage while maintaining a sophisticated and refined aesthetic.

As a florist, what are you inspired by at the moment in the world of weddings?

Our main inspiration currently comes from installations and natural forms that create a sophisticated yet organic aesthetic, with a focus on blending different forms and objects to achieve an elegant and refined look.

Primarily coming from the environment itself—the space and atmosphere. We carefully integrate existing elements to create unity and harmony in our designs.

Nature serves as another endless source of inspiration through its color palettes, textures, and the organic way elements naturally interweave.

The couples themselves deeply inspire our work. Each person’s unique essence guides us in creating designs that truly reflect their personality—whether crafting a delicate bouquet for a more reserved bride or bold arrangements for someone more adventurous. We ensure every piece helps our clients feel confident and authentic. This personalized approach shapes all our creations.

What would you like to see less of?

We believe in celebrating the natural beauty of flowers while maintaining sustainable practices and allowing each botanical element to contribute to the overall composition.

• Artificial Materials: We prefer to let Mother Nature’s own colors shine instead of using dyed flowers or artificial elements – there’s nothing quite like the real thing!
• Overcrowded Arrangements: We love giving each beautiful bloom room to dance and show off its unique personality in our designs
• Single-Color Stories: While we adore a cohesive palette, we’re excited to play with nature’s subtle variations and unexpected color harmonies
• Eco-Conscious Choices: We’re committed to earth-friendly practices, choosing sustainable materials over traditional floral foam to keep our planet as beautiful as our arrangements

Our hearts truly sing when we can showcase the incredible beauty of natural flowers while being kind to our environment. Every petal and leaf in our designs gets to tell its own special story!

• Think About Timing: Consider how your flowers will look throughout the entire event – from ceremony through reception – and plan arrangements that will stay fresh and beautiful.
