About Byron View Farm

Boasting the best outlook in Byron Bay, Byron View Farm sits at the highest point on a secluded hilltop with 360-degree uninterrupted ocean to mountain views. It’s a unique venue that offers the country and coastal experience all in one. Set on 40 acres of lush green rolling hills, Byron View Farm’s iconic setting lends itself to complement any style preference.

An original, charming white cottage creates the central focus. Dine and dance under the stars like never before, a wedding at Byron View Farm offers the complete experience. Your ceremony upon a backdrop of Byron Bay’s Lighthouse. An outdoor reception in a clear marquee or an intimate soirée on the cottage’s wraparound verandah. The most desired setting for bridal photos, without even needing to leave the property met with a golden sunset to lead into the night. Retreat thereafter to your classic white cottage, and wake up as newlyweds surrounded by the stark grandeur of rolling hills, peace and quiet.

Behind The Brand

What rooms/spaces do you have available for a wedding?

Positioned on a 40-acre property in the Byron Hinterland, there are endless spaces for couples to use on their wedding day. This private property is the perfect setting for the most unforgettable ceremony, having a backdrop of rolling hills stretching out to the ocean and the Byron Bay Lighthouse. Alternatively, couples may prefer a ceremony between the tall gums, with the grandeur of the hinterland behind them.

The western lawn, privy to breathtaking sunsets, is a wonderful space for cocktail hour and speeches, which allows for a beautiful flow from the ceremony into the reception in every instance celebrating the magical view. The venue is perched on the highest hilltop of the Byron region, witnessing almost 360-degree uninterrupted views.

Experience outdoor dining as the sun sets and a magical fairy-lit dinner soirée comes to life under the tall trees and clear country sky. After dining, dancing beneath the stars awaits you. This area is gravelled and can hold marquee weddings, upon request.

In the case of wet weather, or simply preference – receptions can also be hosted on the cottage’s wide wrap-around verandah which can effortlessly seat up to 60 guests. There are clear, perspex pull-down blinds that can be used in the case of rain or wind that will not obstruct the views. The ceremony can also be moved to the verandah in the case of wet weather, still maintaining a breathtaking backdrop and space for guests to sit.

How many people can each of these cater for?

Our guest capacity is 60, with each of the above spaces accommodating 60 guests effortlessly.

Do you offer onsite accommodation?

Yes, we do. A one night stay in our fully self-contained white cottage is included in the venue hire price, as is a French breakfast in bed. The cottage has a luxurious king-size bed fitted with linen sheets – literally wake up to the sunrise from bed. The cottage is equipped with designer finishes, a laundry machine and dryer, fan, air-con, high-speed internet, cot, TV with Netflix, kitchen, bathroom with shower, day bed (that can be made up as a bed upon request), a wrap-around verandah, and is 110% pet friendly. In the stillness of the hinterland surrounded by breathtaking views of nature everywhere you look, you’ll feel like you are a million miles away from anyone and anything (alas, the cottage is just a 10-minute drive to the heart of Byron Bay).

What additional features and facilities does your venue offer that couples may find useful?

There is no need to leave the property for photography, meaning more time with loved ones. Couples can take a moment to leave their guests to stroll through the hinterland, having their photographer capture some beautifully romantic moments. From nestling into whimsical bougainvillea arches, frangipani trees, and jasmine vines, to making friends with the resident alpacas and horses, there are so many beautiful photo opportunities up on the hill at Byron View Farm. The most loved being the iconic lone palm.

There is a bathroom on-site for guests, as well as kitchen facilities so nothing has to be hired in for catering.

Byron View Farm couples will have a rainforest tree planted in their honour in the Northern Rivers district. This is made possible by the team at Reforest Now, a local not-for-profit organisation they very proudly work alongside. Since 2020, up to 40,000 rainforest species have been planted at Byron View Farm – to bring things back to how they used to be.

What type of couple would fall in love with your venue and why?

A couple who make decisions based on how they feel. Falling in love with our venue is very much brought down to you what comes over you at first glance, or just quite bluntly, your gut feeling. Our couples just know. Driving along the old country road and up the gravel driveway bordered by white oleanders and resting against the old wooden fence as you take in the views of Byron Bay. Taking in the natural beauty of the hinterland where it meets the ocean and all the way to the lighthouse. Our couples are not people we have to sell to. They get where we are coming from, and simply surrender to how being here makes them feel. Indescribable.

Editor’s Notes

Why we love it…

Enveloped by the rolling hills and picturesque pastures of the Byron hinterland, we can’t help but be swept away by the dreamy vistas this venue has to offer (particularly at sunset). The atmosphere here emanates an effortless charm that so beautifully melds coastal with country.

For the couple…

Looking for a relaxed but beautiful farm-style wedding venue that offers an array of stunning spaces to utilise making it extremely versatile and convenient. Also a great option for micro-weddings and elopements.

Styling tips…

We love the light and airy verandah that wraps around the Byron View cottage – a perfect spot to style an all-white tablescape spilling with florals and candlelight. Follow dinner with dancing on the lawn beneath a canopy of lights and towering gum trees.
