What was the initial spark for the property and how did it all begin?
The initial spark for Casa Sacoto can be traced back to the founders passion for hospitality, the beauty of the Portuguese countryside, and a desire to create a truly unique and memorable experience for guests. They envisioned a property that would showcase the natural charm and elegance of the region while providing exceptional service and personalized attention to detail.
Inspired by the region’s architecture combined with Mediterranean folkloric influences with a contemporary aesthetic, the founders set out to restore a 19th-century manor house, that was abandoned for 10 years. They saw an opportunity to create a one-of-a-kind venue where people could celebrate life’s special moments.
What spaces do you offer for a wedding or event?
Casa Sacoto offers a range of versatile spaces:
Main event hall serves as a versatile space that can accommodate a seated dinner up to 90 guests with a mezzanine that can be used as a dance floor. It’s minimal style works as a blank canvas for your style.
The Garden. Casa Sacoto boasts lush gardens, providing a picturesque backdrop for cocktail receptions and al fresco dinner. The natural beauty of the surrounding vineyards adds a touch of romance and tranquility to your special day.
The Patio. Charming and intimate space opening onto the gardens beyond that provides an ideal setting for ceremonies or a welcome drink.
The House provides accommodation for you and your closest guests to stay and relax. The 2 rooms and 2 suites are designed with style and comfort in mind, ensuring a restful retreat after the festivities.
