Combining the historic charm of a chapel with the intimacy of a luxurious loft, this venue is the perfect space for a memorable event that’s a little different to the status quo.

Exposed brick walls and a stunning timber ceiling compliment the large arched windows. Intricately painted murals, chandeliers and a beautiful view of Clifton Hill and the surrounding skyscape create an unforgettable setting.

Chapel 1885 comes with the option to have your entire event taken care of. Or, if you prefer to do it all yourself, you can opt to simply hire the venue as is.

What rooms/spaces do you have available for a wedding?

The full venue is home to a chapel setting with a grand piano, fireplace, two sitting rooms and bar space.

How many people can each of these cater for?

The Courtyard (20 standing): A lovely space to grab some air away from the main room.
The Sitting Room (10 seated): A relaxing space to rest those legs.
The Bridal Room (4 seated): A small private bridal change room for touch-ups and outfit changes.

What additional features and facilities does your property offer that couples may find useful?

Close to public transport. Planners, catering, floristry, styling and design are available with all Nudo venues.

What type of couple would fall in love with your property and why?

Chapel 1885 is for creative types…not wanting to replicate the same experience twice. They’ll be looking for somewhere that marries original features with modern elements so they can showcase their unique taste.
