Behind The Brand

What draws you to wedding photography?

I’m drawn to wedding photography for so many reasons. First and foremost, it’s the people. I absolutely love getting to meet and connect with new couples each year, learning their stories and joining in during such a special moment in their lives. As a former corporate lawyer, I am genuinely grateful that I now get to photograph incredible events, connect with others and travel to beautiful destinations for a living. That’s what drew me to wedding photography, because every wedding is different. Every couple is unique, but the common thread is the celebration of love.

How would you describe your photography style?

My edit style is clean, bright, true-to-tone images. My photography style is unobtrusive, documentary and easy-going. You need calm energy around you on a wedding day, and that’s what I aim to bring to my couples, offering guidance and suggestions whenever the moment calls for it. I love connecting with guests and capturing from the inside, as though I were a guest with a camera, as it allows me to capture the ‘real’ moments that often pass you by on a wedding day. I am inspired by high-fashion and Vogue, so I am always looking for little details and different angles that offer a touch of editorial elegance.

What inspires you creatively?

I’m inspired a lot by classic Hollywood films, travel (Italy, of course), luxury interior design and fashion photography.

What is it that makes an image magical?

I don’t think there’s a formula for creating a magical image. It’s different for everyone because it’s based on how the image makes you feel. If an image gives you joy or inspiration, or takes you back to a treasured moment, then I think that’s pretty magical.

What advice would you give couples when selecting their wedding photographer?

Wedding photography is as much about the experience as it is the end product. You need to ensure you feel comfortable and in alignment with your photographer, because they are with you for your whole day and their energy will directly impact the quality of the photos you receive. Consider how they make you feel, and whether they align with your vision – don’t just prioritise their previous galleries.

Your dream location to shoot a wedding?

I don’t have any one dream location – take me to a beautiful hotel, estate or villa in Italy and I’m ecstatic!
