In addition to couture gowns, The Artisan Pleat Veil collection makes its debut in 2024. A deeply romantic veil collection that celebrates texture and dimension, gliding from subtle luxury to architectural drama. Spilling with pieces that inspire chic minimalist looks.

Behind The Brand

What was the spark for beginning your brand?

The coalesce of custom, couture, and design.

Custom: The time-honored romance of having a gown crafted on you has always captivated me. I adore personally working with each bride to design a reflection of their personality.

Couture: My obsession with mastering the craft of couture dressmaking, leaning towards the traditional artisan skills, to create gowns for the contemporary bride.

Design: The blending of the brides vision for their gown and my expertise to refine their concepts into a beautiful wedding gown. I know I have succeeded when  wedding guests say they couldn’t imagine the bride in anything else.

What inspires you creatively?

The captivating allure of the hour glass figure has always been my muse. Consequently, my couture corset has become my signature. The Elissa Marie Design corset can either be invisible, seamlessly sculpting your curves or an architectural element, redefining and exaggerating your shape. Working as a grounding base to designs. The corset bestows strength and symmetry upon the inherent delicacy of soft fabrics.

The Elissa Marie Design corset, with its 15-year evolution, embodies the pinnacle of couture craftsmanship, showcasing dedication, attention to detail, and a remarkable level of artistry. Combining both technical expertise and creative design.

A favorite quote or piece of advice that inspires your creative work?

Learn the rules like a pro, so you can break them like an artist.

This helps describe the delicate balance for a couturier between technical precision and beautiful design.

What advice can you give to brides when shopping for their dress?

Try not to fall for tends. Instead start with your heart. Think of the mood and feelings you want to evoke on your wedding day and we can design from there.

What are you drawn to in bridal right now? And what would you love to see less of?

Celebrated in my Artisan Pleat and veil collection. Pleats are a beautiful textural option. Opulent and minimalist at the same time.

I don’t think high leg splits are timeless.
